More Perplexors: Basic Level

I am homeschooling some children of friends (I taught for many years) and every Thursday we do math challenges and puzzles. These are fantastic for logical thinking (which is what math is -- especially algebra). I have a fourth grader who is doing as well as the 8th graders. It is really fun to watch them each do their own and then compare with each other and correct each other. Kids don't learn to think logically anymore, for the most part, but these really help with that.

I have used Perplexors for years but the ones I had were too hard for the majority of my kids. This one is perfect for everyone.

These are a nice introduction to logic. My son is a high-level reader for his age of nearly 7 and these are perfect for him. We often start by me doing one with him and then he does one or 2 on his own and I like this for a activity to help maintain some academics over the summer. I'd bet that they'd go up to age 10 or so though for difficulty for many kids, maybe even higher.

These are fun for my own kids but also great for any profession working with kids. I plan on using these as a behavior therapist to assess or work on processing speed.

My daughter is in first grade and loves solving math problems. I bought her a perplexors book to expand her problem-solving skills and she lived it! She asked for another one for Christmas so I purchased this one. She is equally as happy with it. Fun workbook for kids who enjoy a challenge.

My kids love these! They spend hours on them and they're very good at restaurants to keep them entertained and ... civil.
