Hibben Sidewinder Knife

I am VERY pleased with my purchase! It is a beautiful blade. Heavier than what I expected(which is a good thing), and hair shaving sharp right out of the box. A very sturdy knife. Tang is at least 1/4" thick. And as other reviewers have stated; the sheath is EXCELLENT! I can't wait for deer season to get here and start putting her to work!

For the price you would be very hard pressed to beat it. It feels good in the hand, has a good weight and balance. Nicely hollow ground and of good grade cutlery stainless steel. The grip is quite comfortable and attractive. The sheath is exceptionally well made of heavy grade leather. There is a hole in the handle for a lanyard. Very well designed and useful blade. It should last for many years of hard use.

Great knife but the sheath is total crap. Got this as an everyday carry, the sheath fell apart after one week of being on my hip. I now need to buy a new leather sheath for this great knife.

Just received it about 4 hours ago fare more than I expected strong fist full of knife for it's size beastly full tang very good looking also with the knife you get a truly rugged sheath. Unlike other Hibbin and most low to mid range knives Sheaths are always where they cut there cost but this one is strong made from what I think is leather but the man made leather but no need to replace this one . Did do some carving and whittling it came sharp and remained sharp and you just can't get better than a mirror polish but only time will tell. I will be back with more in a month or so but don't put of what you can do today they could just vanish like so many do you will not be disappointed .

Great knife but the case tore up after a week. I contacted Gil Hibbens they said to contact United Cutlery. But I have had no luck getting a replacement.

Wanted a smaller fixed blade belt knife with a sheath that hung low enough so the knife handle would poke me in the ribs all day. This was perfect. Very deep leather sheath that seems well put together. Sharp enough to use right out of the box.Update: While the knife has held up fine, the stitching where the belt loop attaches to the sheath, as well as the sheath material itself, has come apart at the seam. As such, i stopped carrying it. Id rather not loose the knife. It just reinforces my belief that while there are some very good knives out there, most sheaths on the market are garbage. It's a shame. Time to learn how to make my own.

I just received my Hibben knife (the first Hibben I have owned) and my first thought that ran through my head was "wow". This is a serious knife. It is full tang and in the handle the steel is a quarter of an inch thick and solid. It is razor sharp with a very nice mirror finish. The sheath if also beyond any knife sheaths I have seen. This was a good investment
