Pro tip #1: Some players like to remove the inner leather grip from the handle first before applying the overgrip. Others like to put the overgrip on top. This is a matter of personal preference, but it does change the balance of the racket (i.e making the head heavier)
Pro tip #2: There is a difference in how to put on the overgrip for a left-handed player vs a right-handed player! In short, the spirals should match the direction of your fingers. Search Youtube for a quick video demonstration.
