I had a choice of either 57cm or 58cm, so I went for the 58cm. I'm glad that I did.As there is no internal headband, the hat just sat on my head, the slightest bit of wind and it would be off!So I modified it using a strip of leather doubled over so that the "rough" side was on the outside and sewed it into the hat. Now, it fits perfectly, like a hand in a glove.I don't think this would have been possible with the 57cm and if you're slightly follically challenged, it will not sit comfortably on one's head, because of the lack of an internal headband.

It’s an ok hat for the money but waaaaaayyyyy smaller than the sizing suggests. Ordered largest size but I’d say it was ‘small’ at best - child sized. Maybe just one that was mislabelled or something - quite nice for the money otherwise. For the price I’m not too bothered as will do for a gift for my son.

Liked the style of this hat but not deep enough just kept springing off my head I thought it would be alright as I measured my head but still no good gave it to my husband fit him better

I need a hat that keeps the sun off my ears. After a lifetime working outdoors , I have already had cancer on one ear andI have to keep the sun off my ears. This hat has a very narrow rim, so it is no good for me.

Great fit, light. Top of the crown touches the top of your head. But, you can adjust the fit of the hat.Shame there is no sweatband inside, but you get what you pay for.

60cm larger than the average head hat fitted perfect not so much a fasion statement but required to cover my ears in 40deg temps abroad on holiday,comfortable allowing air through so as my head did not sweat so much had did not distort in any way a quality product at a good price.

“I can't fault the quality of the straw hat, just the size. I measured the internal size at the head band and it turned out to be 53cm, not 55. The label inside the hat read 55cm, hence the dropping of one star“

This hat is well enough made and looks quite good on, however I find the fit uncomfortable in that it is a little un-even where it makes contact with my head. I think it needs smoothing out so that I don't feel the individual bits of straw. It also makes contact with my crown before it is comfortably settled in a wearing position.
