Really nice unit
Use this with Apple CarPlay and there is noticeably better sound quality compared to the stock 4" screen unit on the 2018 F150. Better EQ adjustability and no distortion on the outputs at max volume when running through the Kicker KeyLOC and checked with a SMD DD-1+ at 40Hz.Just an FYI, if your backup cam doesn't show up after you have it all connected, you'll need to contact GUA from their website and let them know. They'll send you an updated harness to install that replaces the one that comes with the unit. The reason is because of how Ford did the grounds for that 4" screen.

Awesome addition
Love the screen, looks and fits perfectly, easy install, operates with no issues, gave it a 4 because tech support is nonexistent, promise 3 year free updates, there are no map update instructions or information. I called, emailed crickets

V1 12.1” f150 screen
Installed past weekend and it has been nice. I somehow misplaced the manual while setting up the unit, so I emailed their support and Nathan was quick to respond and sent me the digital version. I mostly use Apple CarPlay and seeing CarPlay on a bigger screen is wonderful compared to on the stock 8-inch unit. Steering wheel controls work seamlessly. A/C buttons are always there when I need them. Start up time is long but half the time I don’t notice it. Happy so far, hope this one last longer than the $800 one I bought last month.

2 month review, happy so far.
Bought this unit in March to replace the stock 4 inch screen in my 2016 F150 XLT and so far it has been good. What I like: The screen is responsive and UI icons are big and easy to find when driving, which was one of my biggest concerns when shopping for a big screen. It still took me a little while to get comfortable using the A/C controls, but I think it’s to be expected switching from one UI to another. The included android box gives you wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, and the ability to stream YouTube, Netflix, Disney plus. I personally don’t care for the streaming services, but they’re great for distracting the kids on longer drives. Android Auto is always on in my truck for Spotify and Google Maps, very straight forward to use. There is built-in GPS navigation and all I can say is it works, just type in an address and hit go. I don’t use it a whole lot because the map on my phone is miles better, but GPS Nav is nice to have when cell signal runs out. Back up camera footage is bigger on the big screen, backing up the truck went from looking into a 4 inch porthole to almost 10 inch window, it’s an oddly liberating experience. Audio quality seems to be better than the 4 inch OEM radio, you can even play with the EQ settings to tune the speakers. What I don’t like: The boot time. It takes about 25 seconds to boot up, and another 10-ish seconds for the Android box to boot up for Android Auto. I reached out to the support and got the newest update that allows the screen to start booting as soon as I open the door. Boot time is the same, but it feels about 10 seconds shorter. Still, longer than what I would like. I use that time to set navigation on my phone or buckle the little ones. Most of the time I don’t notice the boot time if I’m doing something else before driving. There is no mount for the Android box adaptor thing. I used double sided Velcro to stick it underneath the screen, not the cleanest solution but it’s out of my way and not dangling. USB port on the right charges very slow, I’m assuming it is meant for media like playing movie and music from a flash drive. Using cigarette lighter is the way to go if you want your phone to be charged.Overall happy with the screen, coming from a 4 inch screen this is a huge upgrade. Installation is very easy, there are plenty of videos on YouTube that walk you through step by step. I watched the Video by Stage3 Motorsports on installing the GUA screen and it took me about 30 minutes to get mine in. The 2-year warranty they provide is a nice peace of mind too.

LOVE THIS REPLACEMENT!
I installed this unit several years ago. Had a couple IT glitches initially but it has worked perfect ever since. Nathan was a great help and it has been trouble free for years now. So much nicer than the unit that came with the 2015 F150. Looking to trade the truck in and the local Ford dealer was very impressed by the unit as well. Thank yo Nathan and GAU!
