Q: Does this phone only work with call manager or can i use it with pbx in a flash?

It works with Cisco call manager using Cisco's protocol. It can not be used with SIP. For a SIP version you need a different SKU. I think it is 8811-3PCC-K9

Q: I'm testing this phone with a 802.3af poe injector (nexxt aw190nxt12). the phone always shows "network unavailable". any suggestions?

Try changing port speed to 100. Some Poe injectors don't support GB very well.

Q: We have to continually reset the phones to get them to register. Anyone else having this issue?

No. To be honest I hardly ever have to reset any of my Cisco phones. Some of the old ones I do once in a while, but rarely. We have close to 300 handsets and I reset a phone maybe once a month, if even that frequently.

Q: Does this item come with warranty/smartnet from cisco?

No, those are purchased separately from the vendor that provided the phone itself.
