Womens Sunblock Fingerless Gloves Summer UV Protection Driving Cotton Gloves

These are comfortable, and very nice looking; however they look to me to be thin cotton, and cotton only protects the skin from UVB which is "burning". UVB is 2% of the rays coming from the sun. UVA (aging, age spots, collagen breakdown, wrinkles, cancer etc.) is 98%. You can think of UVA as all the visible light you see. UVA is constant from sun up to sun down with relatively equal intensity all year round.If you cannot see through a fabric, it is protecting you from UVA. Also, SPF fabrics from reputable companies (Solumbra, Coolibar + UV Skinz) can be trusted, as can the occasional UPF 50 item from brands like FIG, LL Bean + North Face.Unfortunately these gloves don't look or feel like they will block UVA, which is primarily what I am interested in. I am 54 years old + can already see more than 20 age spots emerging on each hand. I'm never out long enough to get burned, however, studies have shown that even people like me, who avoid the sun, still manage to get 14 hours per week of incidental UVA exposure. This is why in the summer I often wear SPF hats, shirts + gloves, even just to drive to work. UVA comes right through glass. Right through clouds, and snowstorms, and in the winter, baby, the snow + ice perfectly reflect UVA right up into your face. Watch out. Find a reputable brand.

I have photosensitive skin on my hands and figured out that UV lights from manicures were causing ugly, itchy rashes. Bought these to wear during UV polish curing and problem solved!

Most sun gloves are protective, but extremely ugly. These are really cute. I have a larger hand, so they are a little snug on me. I liked them so much I got a second pair. The pink is really soft and blends in with your skin. Tl

The gloves sre ok. Not high quality, but what you'd expect for the price. I have some sun sensitivity due to immunosuppressant medications and I don't believe these are actually UPF50+ rated gloves- since I still experienced a reaction while wearing them. If you need UPF protection due to sun sensitivity, go with a reputable brand- these won't cut it.

I love my new gloves. I like that they have a design on them. I wear them every day to drive and when I am out in the sun. (I live in Arizona)I also love the price. I paid a lot more for the first pair I ordered from another company. I lost one of the gloves and looked on Amazon for more choices of manufacturers. So glad I did! These glove are affordable and are of good quality.

I love these gloves! I fact, I won't go outside without them. They are comfortable, don't feel hot or sweaty, and grip the steering wheel just fine. I have several pairs and keep them at work, in the car, and at home. If you worry about age spots on the hands, first get laser treatment and then wear these gloves to protect your investment.! Your hands will stay young looking! :)

I fish a lot and I also have vitiligo. If I use sun screen, I don’t catch fish. Saw these “driving gloves” and my prayers were answered. Fit perfectly, giving my hands the UV protection I need. Palms have a grip/fabric which is great while fishing
