Herrmans H-Black Pro Head-Light (Dynamo)

I have just installed the light and have only used it once so this is a first impressions review.The beam pattern is definitely different than other lights I have seen. When I tested it in the garage the beam pattern looks a bit like a flattened circle with the top cut off. The beam pattern diagram in the user manual is accurate but doesn't convey the user experience. See the picture. It does a good job illuminating the left and right to reduce the "blind turn" feeling on dark roads.The light is packaged elegantly in a nice wooden display box with a clear plastic front. It comes in two pieces: the light and a removable reflector.The attachment point can be reversed as needed to perhaps go under a brake cable. Once attached it moves 90 degrees. I used a 6mm bolt with 10mm head to attach it to my bike.

At slower speeds does flicker alot compared to the IQ-X light and while the beam was bright enough to light up the road it still nowhere as bright as the IQ-X. The main reason I am giving one star is the on-off cover keeps coming off.

I recently upgraded my generator light to the Herrmans H Black Pro. I have been using a variety of different generator lights on my commuter bikes for about eight years. For the past three years I have been commuting to or from work in the dark. But enough about me...This light is very bright, has an effective light pattern and is very well made. The body is solid aluminum and the switch is quite elegant and understated. It works by twisting the back. I power it with a Shimano XT generator hub. Usually I run it day and night for added visibility. Installation was a cinch with the bare ended wires going to the hub and the ones with little metal coupler ends going to the tail light. The stand light function also works well. 100% loving this light. Thanks Cantitoe Road!

Ein sehr guter Scheinwerfer, ich kann ihn mit dem B & M Cyo Premium T Senso Plus ( der im Preis ähnlich ist) vergleichen. Der H-Black Pro hat ein größeres und helleres Lichtfeld und bei weitem nicht so fleckig wie beim B & M, Die Montage ist einfach zu erledigen, jedoch könnte das Kabel zum Dynamo etwas länger sein ( die Montage an einem 28 Zoll Trekkingrad war aber ohne Probleme möglich).Wenn man sich auf der website des Herstellers die Lichtverteilung ansieht ( bis ca. 30 m....) denkt man : Werbung. Aber es stimmt! Für manche mag die scharfe Hell-Dunkel-Grenze anfangs gewöhnungsbedürftig sein, sie zeigt aber nur wie gut der Scheinwerfer das produzierte Licht ohne Streulicht auf den Boden verteilt. Und wenn ich über 30m weit sehen kann, ist auch bei zügiger Fahrt das rechtzeitige Reagieren auf Hindernisse einfach. Den Scheinwerfer kann man ohne Lichtverlust mit einem ( beiliegenden ) Reflektor STVO-gerecht ausrüsten. Das Standlicht leuchtet länger nach als bei dem Cyo.Die Verarbeitung ist ohne Makel und solide. Das er ohne Sensor ist, stört mich nicht. Im Gegenteil: was nicht da ist, kann nicht kaputt gehen.Wenn es Probleme mit der Haltbarkeit geben sollte, werde ich die Rezession anpassen.
