Product description Spelt is a species of wheat often known as the ‘good-for-you’ grain. It was a very important crop in ancient and medieval times, and has made a big come back as a health food. Wholemeal spelt has a sweet, nutty chewiness, similar to barley but without the sticky texture. The grains are very fluffy and are best when cooked al dente. Add to salads or use in place of couscous and rice.
