For recording following traffic as well as that in front you may find this kit ideal, it also acts as a revering camera.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This dash cam has a lot to like about it like the ease of fitting via the elastic strap round your rear view mirror, The fact that a rear view camera is included and the relatively cheap price. The image quality is reasonable and among the better ones I have tried for night use. There are some bad pints too, you will no longer be able to switch your rear view mirror between night and day driving modes, the new mirror though is only a little brighter than a normal night vision setting on my wing mirror and still work well in daytime..When the rear view camera is plugged in it will display in the top right corner of the main camera frame. Having a pretty new car I have not yet worked out an acceptable way to connect and route the camera out through the hatchback so I can connect to the reversing lamp 12 v feed as suggested. However I have done some testing with the rear view camera and it need for a connection to the 12v supply to your reversing light. The front view camera saves its files to a directory called DCIMA and the rear view camera saves to DCIMB. The camera will work and record video without the 12v supply connected normally the rear camera display shows in the top right of the display screen of the mirror when the camera is on. When the 12v supply switched on which would be when you put the car into reverse this behaviour changes. If the camera display had timed out it is turned back on and video from the rear view camera fills the whole display screen and the 4 LED lights which surround the camera come on to ensure that you get a good view at night. So as well as the normal dash cam function of gathering evidence this works as a pretty good reversing camera. While driving the display still allows you to see a reflection in the centre of your rear view mirror, and of course by default the display does cancel after 3 minutes, this is adjustable in the settings. On the subject of settings this camera has a touch screen and it takes a little getting used to to find the hot spots for the menus. As a general tip if tapping in and obvious place does not work its probably because you need to tap elsewhere. The front view Camera itself has a rotating and pivoting turret, rotating will level the image and is easy to do. You can also pivot it a bit to get the area covered centred. the video seems as good as other dash cams in this price range you can certainly read number plates before the car they are fitted to is near enough to make contact!

Bargain priced, quality dashcam mirror
I wanted to try a dashcam, but not a separate unit, so the integrated mirrorcams seemed a good compromise. At this price I have nothing to complain about with this unit. The video quality is fine, not 4k big screen tv footage, but hey, it's a simple HD cam, perfectly good enough.Very easy to install, with 'rubber bands' to secure the unit onto your existing rear view mirror, and a simple set up menu via touch screen. The power cable is plenty long enough to be run around the edge of the windscreen. I didn't install the included reversing camera, but essentially its a tiny camera on a very long cable. Amazing to get the two units at this price. A microSD card is required, and recording can be set from 2 to 5 min segments, on a looping record, so you'll get hours of footage on a 16gb card. There are options to have the camera view on display always within the mirror, or to 'time out' so the mirror is just a mirror. Also an option to have a constant digital time display in the mirror. The unit turns on and off with the ignition, if your car has a electrical system that powers off the power socket, otherwise there is a power button on the lower edge of the mirror.Although the mirror is tinted, I missed being able to dip the mirror for bright lights following, a downside of the design.I found it did the job perfectly well, I don't see much need to spend more on a dashcam, so its a good buy.

Professional camera at a good price.
Superior to the previous dash cam by far, the picture clarity is excellent and menu simplicity itself.I did have to fix the rubber strips to the camera first, as my rear view mirror houses all the alarm set up e.t.c. I was then able to stretch the strip around the mirror on one side before fixing the other.Comes with straight forward instructions, all is as described by manufacturer and arrived early very well packaged in a dedicated box. Here is a lot of camera considering what little it cost, a great buy that I would recommend to anyone thinking of their first in car c.c.t.v.

Easy to use, good picture quality
I have not used this for long but my impressions so far are very good. I purchased a 32GB memory card to use with it which should be ample for the relatively little driving we do. Since the oldest video gets overwritten when the memory is full, you could probably get away with a 16GB, especially if you don’t do long trips. It’s chargeable via USB which doesn’t take long. The mirror is larger than our car one and simply straps to the existing one. Once recording starts, you simply wait about 10 seconds and the video hides and you have your full mirror back. With the rear camera, it’s useful for recording but since you lose the full use of the mirror when using it for parking, for me there’s nothing to be gained but that’s a personal choice really. The picture quality is good.I am going to use it for a couple of weeks before routing the cables as I’ll have to pay a car mechanic to do this for me as I don’t trust myself!Overall very happy with my purchase. Just bear in mind the additional costs of the SD card and the cable routing (if required).
