Pretty fantastic!
Was going to give a rating of 4/5 stars because it's really hard to achieve a perfect score, and this product had some flaws, however, I'm pretty realistic in that nothing will ever be "perfect" so if it serves it purpose and does a great job then that's good enough for me.That said, this product was great overall. I painted my corner kitchen cabinet using Camelot Blue and I have got to say, the color is pretty spot on. I was nervous to purchase as it is not cheap and who knew if the color would really be true (to color in images). But not wanting to leave my cabinet white, I took a chance and it definitely paid off. Color is spot on!!!!This was my first time using chalk paint but I've painted lots of things so I was not intimidated. The paint was quite nice to work with (smooth) and provided fantastic coverage. I didn't think it was possible but I only used two coats. You can see in the pictures what it looked like after one coat. After the first coat I thought I would need two more but nope! The paint dried super fast too so that was awesome. I was able to get the painting part of this project done in one evening! How awesome is that?!?! Now the wax part....yeah, that was a whole different story lol.Again this is my first time w/chalk paint/wax but I did not expect the odor of the wax to be so strong!!!! None of the reviews I read nor the videos I've watched on YouTube suggested it would be so strong. It smells like rubber cement glue to me. The smell permeated my nostrils and gave me a headache. Even people way in the living room could smell it. I really don't want to be dramatic because I'm used to fumes and odors but I was just not expecting the wax to smell so bad. It definitely goes away after a couple days though so that's good. Next time, however, I will be waxing on the back patio. The only other sort-of-issue I had is that my cabinet got scratched a bit. Sure, it passed the fingernail test but I think that you subconsciously know not to scratch THAT hard when testing it out. However, scratches that you don't mean to cause will scrape the paint off. Though kind of annoying, I understand that no product will be perfect and I can always touch it up if need be, as I have nearly the entire can left. I can't believe how LITTLE paint I used to achieve this look. It's amazing. I could probably paint five more cabinets and have some paint left lol. I'm excited to paint a bench I have and try it on fabric!!Overall, I'm a happy camper! If the paints were available in smaller sizes, I would totally buy more.Pros:Color true to swatch on screenFantastic coverageA little goes a LONG wayBrushes included were awesomeDries ultra fastSo versatileCons:Wax is strong (which might be normal)Paint scratches off somewhat easily

Perfect for Chalk Paint Project
I am very impressed with this kit!I set out to refinish a 31-year-old, solid wood dining room table. What allured me to chalk paint was the fact that virtually no preparation is needed before you paint. I simply cleaned the table! No sanding, no priming, no etc. NICE!This paint goes on very smoothly. Included with the kit is a large and small brush which is great for covering large surfaces (big brush), and more detailed areas (small brush). I used two coats (let the first dry completely before applying a second), but you could definitely get away with only one coat as the paint is that thick. Just a note, though: I used the "Graystone" color, and I believe with other colors one coat of paint wouldn't do the trick. So, just be cognizant of that. After you paint, you have to apply a sealing wax. This kit comes with a light wax and a dark wax as well as a wax brush. This wax is very easy to apply, it smooths over the table like butter. I used the light wax for the top. Then, I tried to get fancy and combine the light wax with the dark wax to do over the edges of the table. This was a messy endeavor. I don't heart the dark wax and do not like the darker finish that comes with that. It is all personal preference, however. Just be prepared for some mess. The kit also includes a buffing cloth (not in the product picture) that is used to remove excess wax and buff/shine your table. Take your time with this step. You want to make sure excess wax is removed before you sit down to the table to eat a meal (trust me). This kit also comes with rubber gloves. I didn't use these, but after the dark wax debacle, I wished I would have. (Wax on my hands and in my fingernails allll weekend.)On the side of the paint can is a website address where you can find how-to directions as well as several instructional videos. This was extremely useful and I recommend utilizing the help.I'm very happy with how my table turned out. I still have a half can of paint left, which is good as I realized that the table leaf was still in my front closet with it's original brown color (yikes!).

Fun, Fairly Fast, and Easy.
This is my first time ever using chalk paint. I found the product to be quite thick and covered very well. Those customers who complained about the product not covering probably did not research what NOT to paint over. I usually will go for the "top of the line" but being in a small town, this was way more convenient for me to purchase.I did use some vehicle bondo to fix some cracks in my dresser and this paint covered very well. One thing I did find a bit frustrating was I applied the paint quite thick in a couple of spots and it did show when it dried. Thin coats are better.I used a half a can of paint to do 2 coats over a large dresser and two end tables. There is virtually no smell to the paint but I found the wax to be quite potent. I was satisfied with the light grey that I purchased. Grey can be tricky depending on the light source in the room often giving off a purple or tan reflection. The grey ended up being almost a true match to the wall color I chose. I kind of wished I grabbed the next shade of grey....oh well I added more dark wax.I would have liked to see some instructions in the box. I realize that there is a web page for instructions...but at least put the basics in the box for people to find. The brushes are ok I didn't use the small one I used my finger and cloth with the dark wax. I will be purchasing another smaller wax brush to add to this kit for my next use. I would have also liked some wax brush cleaning suggestions in the box.
