Great stuff for my handlebar mustache
I love this for my handlebar mustache. I have never grown one before so I’m finding a whole new world of products meant for beard and mustache grooming. I’ve bought several types of mustache wax with varying results: some don’t provide any hold, some are too thick or tacky, many smell like pine tar and lanolin. This is a great compromise between having enough hold without the tacky texture. This also smells the best of all my products. It is also much more economical than the pine tar stuff. The only drawback I’ve encountered is that sometimes small white crumbs appear as the paste gels, but these are easily manageable with a wipe or comb through.

Works well, but be mindful when applying.
This product is great for holding my thinning hair. I recommend right after towel drying your hair, place a small amount in hands, moves hands a bit to thin the product out, then apply with a messy, all over style pulling from roots to end.Pros:When used properly it does make hair look thicker as can provide lift from the roots to keep hair elevated.Pretty good price.I really like the smell of creamo product.Has a light hold, (should use hair spray after styling to lock the look in)Washes away with shampoo easily.Cons:If my hair is dry and I try to use, it can clump and leave bits in hair. You must comb through thorough on dry hair.If you do comb through, it can break your hair. (Haven't your slightly damp helps avoid this).

I don't think people understand what this is for...
It's getting a lot of mixed reviews, some loving it and some not so much. Products like this are very personal and subjective. But I think some folks are confusing this matte hair paste for other products and then don't like it because it's not what they're used to because it's not super gooey, not shiny, or doesn't have enough hold. What I learned is that this type of product is for people with fine hair, thinning hair, etc., so the first thing I learned from professional barber Matty Conrad is that when you have fine or thinning hair you don't want a lot of weight or water sagging your hair down. Gels, pomades, and the like have higher hold but also weigh your hair down making it appear like you have less hair. So the function of this type of product is supposed to be light and dry. So less is more in the sense that you don't want a ton of product in your hair weighing your hair down, making it appear stringy, saggy, or limp. Another thing is that hold is dependant on hair length, and so he recommends that folks with thinning or fine hair keep hair length between 3 to 5 inches. I actually bought this because his Victory brand super dry was out of stock and this seemed like a good comparison. I will say that I don't blow dry my hair personally, but he recommends salt sprays, matte dry pastes, and blow drying your hair and getting a cut that suits your hair type. All this to say, I think some people are not liking this product because it's not what they're accustomed to. But what they're accustomed to is usually made for thicker hair types. So it's all about maximizing your specific hair type. Also, it doesn't go into wet hair or on wet hands as well as others products. I've come to see this is because super dry matte pastes are made for dry to mostly dry hair. When used correctly I find it gives me the texture and hold I need, and smells clean and refreshing. Not trying to put folks down or anything, but I hate to see bad reviews because people are not up to speed on this sort of thing. Anyway, I'll be trying Victory super dry when it's back in stock, but in the meantime this is fantastic stuff. Just that you have to understand what's it's intended to do and how to use it just right! Hey I had to learn all this too! If you go to Matty Conrad's YouTube channel there's a video on fine and thinning hair that really helped me to understand how to maximize my own personal haircare needs. In the meantime, I think this product is getting a bad wrap because it's made for specific reasons. Hope this helps you guys and gals out there!

I leave the hair smooth and silky!
"Well, well, well, looks like I found the holy grail of hair products, folks. The Cremo Premium Barber Grade Thickening Paste is like the shampoo commercial hair I always dreamed of as a kid—minus the weird 80s mullet phase. This stuff gives you some serious *high hold* but without making you look like you dunked your head in a vat of grease (thank you, low shine). It's perfect if you want to keep your hair looking all fancy for your school... or if you just want to impress Veronica (I get it). The thickening part? Oh yeah, it works. My hair feels fuller, like I just went through a major character development montage. And it smells awesome, too—seriously, people will be sniffing your head all day long, in the least weird way possible. This 4 oz jar? It’ll last you a while because you only need a little dab to work your magic. Just rub it in, style it up, and boom—you look like a million bucks (and I know a thing or two about big bucks). Cremo knows how to keep your hair on point, so grab this stuff and make every day a good hair day. Stay slick, my friends!"

Better consistency than as good as American Crew Styling Paste
I switched from using American Crew Styling Paste to this. Is holds my hair in place without being crusty. It does not have any shine to it, which is what I wanted. It doesn't smell and washes off your hands with a little bit of soap. I was able to re-style my hair later on in the day after it got messed up without needing to apply more product. It's a good value and not nearly as dry as my last container of American Crew Styling Paste. This is my new go to hair product.

Great quality but not a very high hold pomade
This products performance isn’t as high hold as I would like, you need to use more than a nickel size to make the product hold better… so you’re using more product than it used to be. The quality is great other than how much of the product you need to use. It smells very clean, it’s not an over powering smell either. It’s super easy to wash out of your hair too. I’ve never used the barber version of this pomade but I do really like it and I love the appearance of the container. It’s a very clean look on the hair too. Love it.
