Updated 1/9/23: I had to take a star off because I discovered a design flaw in windy situations. The strength of the connection between the bulb and the hanger on top is not strong enough. I previously stated one was delivered with the 2 parts separated and I glued it back on. Now I found a different bulb fell to the ground (7 feet) after some windy conditions in which the hanger separated from the bulb. The bulb itself cracked in multiple places and the red coating scrapped off. Not sure if I can salvage it. The manufacturer needs to find a more secure way to attach the bulb hanger to the bulb.<original review>I've looked long and hard for a product this size to hang outdoors and I believe you will be hard pressed to find a better option...at this price...than these. They arrive as full spheres, i.e., you don't have to assembled two halves. The plastic thickness is appropriate for outdoor use and could be considered "commercial grade." The color is a nice "Christmas" red and has a mirror-like finish. I needed 8 spheres and for the price, $55 for 4, I was very glad to find this affordable offer.There are some negatives, though, which may also apply to any bulb this size (and price). The red finish is not perfect. There are some bubbles and ripples on some of the bulbs, to varying degrees. One of my 8 bulbs has the red rubbed off in a small area due to movement in shipping, rubbing on the packaging. It is small enough not be an issue and I may get some red spray paint to cover it up. You can see the line where the two halves are glued together, also. One bulb had the hanger broken off, also due to shipment movement, but I glued it on. Overall, I do not consider the imperfections an issue.Generally speaking, if you are going to use these for decorations people are not coming up close and personal with, they do a fine job visually. People are not going to see the imperfections unless they are a few feet away and they are looking for them.For my needs, these were perfect. They replaced similar bulbs that, after 6 seasons outdoors, started turning orange from the sun (S. Cal). I can only hope these fare better, but, again, I was grateful to find these for a reasonable price.
