Gratuitous, but great
Let me start off by saying this is an absolutely unnecessary knife. That said, it is beautiful and surprisingly useful an I am quite pleased with my purchase. I work in a cafe and do everything from baking to sandwich making. This is absolutely my favorite sandwich knife of all time. Great for slicing tomatoes and sharp enough to take razor thin slices off fresh lemons. Blunt, wide end makes it great for spreading and its just the right length to easily cut a sandwich in half, be it on baguette, ciabatta or classic sandwich bread. I've found it useful for a variety of soft-fleshed fruit and vegetable prep tasks and is also great for cuitting through thinner ropes of raw dough (like a smaller log of cinnamon rolls or icebox cookies).

Ultimate Sandwich Knife
This knife is incredibly sharp, very durable, and is the ultimate sandwich knife. The knife is very easy to hold, and can slice through just about any food with ease. I have found myself using this knife over my Shun chef knife in a lot of situations.

Shun knife ( discontinued model)
The title says it all. It is a Shun. They are tremendous knives. Some times peope will rate them at less than 5 stars, build a million or so of most anything and you are likely to get a few bad ones. These knives are sharp, balanced, and excellent tools. This one is good for most uses. I call it the sandwich knive. Good for bread, tomatoes, proteins and wide for spreading condiments. The Shun Edo series has been discontinued but is close to other models, changes in handles etc. I have several Shun knives and find them to be excellent tools. I highly recommmend this and other Shun knives.

Shun and Done
Great multipurpose knife that is arguably the most used in my kitchen. I would agree that the one thing it is not good at is chopping veggies or proteins, but you should not expect to be doing those type of cuts with a semi-serrated knife. Great for slicing and spreading. Cuts through hard crusted baked breads with ease and very easy to clean without a lot of the worry of breaking tips on a pointed knife. Highly recommend.

Scalloped edge supreme
The scalloped edge and the sheer sharpness makes for an astounding combination. With minimal effort this glides through it all; tomatoes, baguettes, onions. Obviously not for proteins, meats, but everything else it will steamroll through. I'm picky with knives and this is the most versatile knife I own. Looks great to boot. Would absolutely buy again!

Great snack and sandwich knife!!!!
Very nice knife over all. Definitely great for a variety of smaller tasks. Great looking knife too. I like the handle a lot. Fit finish is a lil off, but nothing major, since I got it on mega sale.

Not a multi-purpose knife
I love my other Shun knives and this one is great for its purpose. Silly me assumed "Utility" referred to something useful for many tasks. This is a sandwich knife. Perfect if you love slicing bread (e.g small loaves, bagels, sandwiches). Other people say it's great for spreading condiments, but I am not willing to possibly cut the lids of my jars or ding up to blade to get into any jar. This is NOT a chopping knife at all, the curved blade makes chopping feel like the blade is catching and won't move across the board smoothly. Sorry I can't describe it any other way.

Great utility knife!
We own a variety of "nice" knives, including a full Shun set...next to the small santoku, this is our "go to" knife. Comfortable, functional ridiculously sharp right out of the box...you can do 90% of the things you need to do for prep work for a dinner using only this knife...well done, Shun!
