Really does improve tone and sustain.
I have fitted Tusq nuts to all my Guitars and to those of friends. My Les Pauls have also got white Tusq saddles. My Telecaster and Stratocaster have the Tusq nut. What I get is a very noticable increase in Tone, Sustain, and overall "more alive" feeling with greater touch sensitivity. They bring out MORE of what the guitar has. They make an already great sounding guitar awesome, and a dull one great. Although I'm not a luthier, I am able to fit them myself with a minimum of tools, but would advise anyone who isn't confident with their ability to do it themselves to get a professional to do it for them. Look at it like this....... You've made a big investment in your guitar/amp etc. why not spend a bit more to get the VERY best from it. I am in no way connected with anyone who makes or sells Tusq, I'm a Guitarist who just wants others to gain from my own experience and pass on what I Know from actual personal experience. Happy plucking all.

Great replacement guitar nut
I usually replace my guitar nuts with Graphtech. Easy to work with and seem to help with tuning stability.

Perfect fit for Squier SE Strat
Bought this nut to replace the original nut in a 2000s Squier SE Strat with 22 frets (full thickness body). The old nut came straight out with little effort leaving a clean nut slot. This was an almost straight replacement, it was just a tiny bit too thick to drop in.The old nut was 3.17mm thick, the Graphtech nut was 3.22mm; it just needed a bit of sanding to take off 0.05mm. Then it dropped in for a snug fit, no glue required to hold in place. String spacing is perfect, and no slot filing required, string heights are pretty much spot on. No other shaping required.Performance is excellent so far, just as expected.

Excellent,top quality “Nuts”.
Not quite big enough for my Squier Strat. But great for my Fender Strat.

Nice nut
A nicely pre slotted nut which drops in to replace the previous one on my guitar with very little adjustment- I just sanded the nut down on one side to make it thinner . It fits well with no glue needed. Tuning is vastly improved instantly! I believe the guitar plays better because of this.

Great tone - you must replace your cheap plastic nuts with these
This is the second Tusq nut I've installed. They really make a noticeable improvement to the tone of the guitar if you have a cheap plastic nut. I used this on an old Squire. Far better to spend your money on a good quality nut than locking tuners.

For strat style necks
Nice nut, needs some filing using proper nut slot files to get the desired action (but that's a given) fit nicely in my Aria pro series strat style guitar, did have to sand it down just a hair, using a flat surface to bring the width down.

Squire Strat
Fantastic! My old squire now holds tune so much better. The tuning is now so much more stable that I have turned back to having a floating bridge. Before it was a plastic nut that seemed to grip the strings even with nut sauce on.Super easy to fit, you will need a bit of sandpaper and a flat surface. Most difficult part is removing the old nut, did this with a Stanley knife and a very small flat head screwdriver. Took me half hour to get it swapped out and adjusted. Great.
