these are really good pucks. not only do they spread out the water they also help keep the shower head clean.

Ok, so it was shipped quickly, it is well made, and it does what it’s supposed to do, it kept the shower head of my espresso machine clean during the brew. I was hoping it would get me more crema per brew, one would think it would, but sadly, no dice. I cannot fault the seller on this, as coffee is so subjective and we all have different espresso machines. For this reason, I am not asking for a refund. This screen did what it was supposed to do, but for me, it’s a crema killer. I tried it on top of the puck, and on the bottom, no crema at all. Not even the little amount I was getting before. Flat. But the shower head was clean of coffee grounds when I used it on top of the coffee as instructed. So I wanted to offer a little tip to those looking for more crema and not getting it from their machines. I’ve found that if you put a little espresso in your filter basket, tamp it down, put a little more, tamp it down, and so on until the filter basket is full of coffee. So you have layers of coffee all tamped down in the filter basket, then brew. You’ll get a little more crema this way. As for this screen, I think it comes down to preference. It does what it says it will do, but I just don’t care for how the coffee comes out. I can’t blame the seller for this, so I just chalk it up to preference here. I just didn’t like the result. My fault for buying something that didn’t work out, and I hope someday I can find a use for it because it really is a good, fine, heavy duty screen. For now, I’ll be more careful buying coffee stuff, and in the junk drawer it goes.

Keeps my espresso machine super clean and much easier clean up! Still comes through fine and great shot of espresso. Definitely worth it!

Just barely fits in my 54mm portafilter so I have to be careful otherwise I press it wrong and flip out the espresso powder. I don't know, without trying another kind, if it's a great crema maker or not.

I absolutely love this stellar little addition to my setup. It made cleaning so much easier, no longer need to run an empty shot every time. Plus this properly distributes the flow of water and helps give a more even espresso shot.

I performed flawlessly with my Breville Barista Express! My espresso machine has never had such a clean “cleaning cycle” before!) Well, until I accidentally dropped it into our garbage disposal (got distracted and didn’t realize what I’d done; couldn’t figure out where it had gone!). Needless to say it was ruined after I fished it out. I’ll buy a new one eventually. Definitely worth it! You have to adapt how much grounds you put into the portafilter, because it takes up some of that room, but if a clean machine is your ultimate dream… GET ONE NOW!

Not sure if it helps espresso quality, but keeps the head cleaner after a shot so no cleanup required!

This puck screen helps even out the water distribution and helps prevent channels resulting in a better brew, thicker Crema and body.
