Great product.
I was considering buying the darbee darblet 5000 or 5100 when I became aware of this product. After some Internet research on some french home cinema sites it appeared that enthusiasts there preferred the dvdo technologies and image appearance on screen. I was also aware that the dvdo micro's bigger brother the mini had received a strong recommendation in a UK home cinema magazine. Having used it for some time now I definitely feel it makes a visible difference to my full 1080p 120 inch projected image. More so when you turn it off after having had it switched on as images such as faces now look more blurry especially around the eyes than without dvdo processing. The projector I have is already recognised for excellent image sharpness and this and the 3 dimensional look of images is definitely visibly improved with this product. I suspect the smaller your screen the less noticeable the effect. In hindsight the dvdo mini might have been the better product for me as the micro only has off, low and high settings with low giving no visible improvement to my eyes and high introducing some visible sharpening artefacts to blu ray images, especially with animation. I personally got around this problem by switching from a newer award winning sony blu ray player which was recognised for its image sharpness and detail which exacerbated the dvdo processing artefacts at high setting on screen by reverting to an older sony blu ray with a softer native on screen image. I then played around with my amplifier and the blu ray and projector sharpness noise reduction and upscaling settings and after some experimentation have the best image quality I've yet achieved almost uhd like with some high quality blu ray transfers. If I'd gone with the dvdo mini which allows you to set the percentage strength of the effect I could most likely have stuck with my main blu ray player and simply dialled the dvdo processing down to maybe 65% or so.Barring this limited range of image strength processing settings it's a great product I'd now not be without.
