Our dog out grew his old doggy door. He is a lab/golden retriever mix weights 100+ lbs and is pretty tall. He goes through this with ease. Now that we have had this for a few months the deal is starting to rip a little bit. Would purchase again.

This was bought as a replacement for a previous one of this kind. Works well but has to replace after two years. Plastic around opening and swing door cracked in

This door didn’t make it a year before the door cracked badly. Like other reviewers, the weather stripping fell off pretty quickly also. I originally received a door that had cracks in it upon delivery so I returned it for a replacement. So this is the replacement that eventually cracked also. Buyer beware that is a significant size hole you’ll need to cut in your door for install with no options to replace just the door flap when it fails.I found a Replacement product that’s much cheaper and almost an identical fit to this door cutout: Trixie Pet Products 2-Way Locking Dog Door, Medium to X-Large Dogs, White. Trixie door will also fit a thinner storm door.

This door has been a life saver. The dogs love it. The magnet snapping the door back into place sound scared them at first but they got over it.

This doggie dog was perfect for my little 10 pound dog. She goes in & out anytime she chooses now & I don’t have to worry that she needs out & I am not home to let her out! Fairly easy installation & it took her no time at all for her to learn how to use it. It was well worth the price!

There are several pros to the dog door and one big con.Pros: The dog door looks good. We have a black exterior door and it blends in nicely. We have 4 dogs of varying sizes from medium small to large and it works well for all of them. It feels pretty sturdy.CON: The flap does not seal well. There is about 1/8 inch gap at the sides of the flap that let's in a ton of air. In addition, when the wind blows, the flap comes open. Because of that we have to put the cover over the door at night which really defeats the purpose of having the door in the first place. We are purchasing some more weather stripping and trying to fix it. I had to order it on Amazon because I can't find the kind I need at the big box stores.I'm still within the return period but I really don't want to take the door out and order another from the same vendor knowing that there is a good chance the next door may be the same. Btw... I have purchased 4 other dog doors just like this (but a different brand) in the past and have never had this problem. The other brands don't offer black though so I don't have much choice in brand if I want to stay with black.Hopefully we can fix it, if not I would give this door 2 stars.
