The book was an excellent and easy read, it has helped me reignite my relationship with God. The overview above it point on! I am a single (in a committed relationship) female with no children, sometimes Bible Studies are only intended for busy wives/homemakers and mothers. I found this very helpful for my Christian Walk. While some of the examples did not apply directly to me, it was still a wonderful experience that has left me renewed. I also purchased the workbook. Being a very busy woman, sometimes Christ takes the back seat. This gives a great reality check to that and renews his place as first in your life. Meditating in the word is most important to any Christian. Being raised in church and even attending private christian school for most of my life, I still get away from the daily word. The book and workbook are an excellent way to reorganize and regain that daily ritual. Lysa Terkeurst understands this lack of spiritual mediation all too well. Terkeurst is the author of a dozen best-selling Christian women's books, and the president of Proverbs 31 ministries. Even though she is a VERY busy woman and has a job that i dearly envy, she is able to take whatever comes her way. Zondervan published the book in 2009, however it is still very relevant to today's culture and experience. She does not come across as an expert, she remembers dearly when she was in the readers shoes and does not look down or speak in a condescending manner. Again probably intended for the busy mother and wife, I was very much blessed by this book and her testimony.

Lysa Terkeurst wrote an interesting book with an excellent Bible Study companion. The videos come with the purchase and really help understand the message.

This book was recommended to me by another woman in my church when I was searching for a bible study to lead my bible study group through. A small group of friends from my church and I ordered the book and the accompanying study guide, Becoming More Than a Good Bible Study Girl Participant's Guide: Living the Faith after Bible Class Is Over, and the church ordered the DVD for the study. We loved Lisa's sense of humor, touching personal stories (who can forget the story about the brownies?), and simply-explained perspectives on how to live a more Christian life. We had intense, meaningful discussions based on the book and the study that helped us to get to better understand our strengths and weaknesses and to deal with issues we had in a new way. Several months after finishing the book and the study, the ideas Lisa presents in this book still pop into my brain on a weekly basis, and I feel as though this book and the accompanying bible study have given me new tools to lead a more Christian life. As the study leader, Lisa's book, study guide, and DVD set made it easy to lead a meaningful study, and the work load was enough to keep us engaged in the Bible while not overloading us.

Reading this while following the Bible study guide online was great! It is worth a 5, except that it was more of a review than it was new information. (I like new information!) Easy to read, great connection with real-life, and some wonderful ideas make for a rowing faith. Well worth the reading.

This book is full of practical truths for learning to really live in the reality of God's love. Lysa's humor and down to earth approach to living a life of faith make this book a must read!I highly recommend this book to anyone woman searching to know God more.

Another winner for me from Lysa. Im currently doing a bible study with with this book through Pr31 ministries, which is really helping to bring it alive, but the book on its own or maybe read with a small church group would be well worth a read

This book/the DVD and participants guides are so great. Started out with a few girls getting together to see how to Become more than good Bible Study Girls and now we are up to 17. Everyone is spreading the word. I just keep ordering more books. It's practical, simple and personal. We all love it.
