Very nice lock but it’s heavy so take that in consideration if you decide to log “carry it while cycling” or even if you mount it on the bike, don’t do that! If it falls on the bike or you fall of the bike you will ended up with dent! As it’s heavy!I instead leave it near my work and lock it there which makes it a lot easier.Try to cover the lock with some plastic bag or waterproof case so it doesn’t rust easily out side under the rain. I was slightly taken back by the size of the lock at first (and assumed I'd made a horrible mistake when buying it) but after taking it out a few times I was massively impressed. You can lock your bike to almost literally anything! My city has lots of bike locking hoops with a really wide end section that make it hard to use most locks when locking your bike, but not this lock. Wide lamppost? Not at issue. Weirdly aligned bike hoop that buts up against the curb or a wall? Again, not an issue for this lock. Seriously... it might be big and unwieldy, but the practicality of this thing makes it absolutely worth it.

Well made and tough. I needed a lock that would keep my bike secure at the same time as acting as a deterrent. This does it. A little heavy at times to lug around but the bracket to attach it to the frame helps.

Looks and feels great - solid heavy metal item. However, the lock mechanism stopped working after 6 months rendering the item useless. This product failure came after fairly light use (open/locked maybe 150 times) - completely unacceptable.Do not buy this item - waste of money and ends up in landfill after a few months.

I was happy for 6 months, but after 6 months, the key would no longer turn the mechanism. I tried oiling and jiggling the key and tried all the other keys, but whilst I managed to free my bike, it got worse and worse and so I have had to chuck it. Trying to return to Amazon is too much of hassle. Shame because it seemed a good lock for 6 months.

I have had unfortunate experiences with other D-locks, including my bike having to be 'liberated' with an angle grinder because the locking mechanism jammed. This one is easy to lock/unlock - that's what I appreciate most. Fingers crossed. Jamming D-locks are strictly no-no.

No denying its a good, well built lock.But.. if you have an eMTB you can forget about mounting it.I have 2 of these and they have to go in a backpack..and they're heavy!

If you want security, you need to go for Gold rated - this is a great lock with length enough to go round bike frame and railings. I would recommend one with a cable if you don't have one already. Be aware that this lock is heavy - but that is to be expected for a tough lock.
