This is a great item to introduce your child to the idea of weight (heavy and light).It's a good size and the buckets can hold a good sized item to weigh in them. The base is solid which I like. I've found that my buckets tend to fall off the scale sometimes which can be frustrating for young children when they are trying to weigh items. They put them back on and carry on but it's just something to be aware of.

I had an old balance from Numicon that I could not find online so i bought this one but it is not very practical

Great product that is useful for early school years

A good idea but fiddly to use. Would quite a 7+ not a 5 year old. The buckets come off really easily and the balance Mark is hard to see would be better a different colour. The kids don't fit well. It suggests you use for liquids too i wouldn't unless you really want a mess to clean up!

My son loves this. Great for starting to explore weight. A little smaller than I expected but still does the job

This a sturdy bucket balance which my little girl is enjoying a lot. Works great with a set of numicon to work out thag e.g. 2+3 in one bucket balances with the 5 piece in another. Buckets have lids and come off if required.It is also easy to align the buckets and calibrate them.

Great product but you only get the scales, buckets and lids. No items to weigh as shown in the photos.The buckets are very brittle and may not last and without them the scales are useless.Great item whilst it lasts

We have had fun exploring shaped counters using this, the children are 2 and 3 years old and are happy to do just that at the moment. The only thing I can see lets it down for us at the moment are the container lids do not have a good fit and I can as an adult get the lids on but they come off easily when the children touch them.
