Overpriced for what you get

This book is too overpriced! When I got it I thought I’d get an electronic component to it to help in studying. Unfortunately, this is not the only hook you will need. You will need other reference books. It feels like extortion.

Way too expensive for a book

Bought it but once I received it . It wasn’t as thick as I was anticipating considering the price of this book. Sent it back

NOT NEW

I just opened this and there's what looks to be a cup stain on the cover with smudges all over (GROSS!) The corners are worn there's no way it's from delivery and some of the pages are creased. This has clearly been used before. I'm not going through the trouble of returning but BEWARE!!!

Serves its Purpose Well

This is a very good study guide, and I think it's good enough for you to exclusively study from on your own and pass the CPC exam (with the required code books, of course). However, one star had to be deducted from this review due to an error in the language of some answers to the chapter review questions. One example is on page 9, question 5: "When should an ABN be signed?" The answer given was B. "When a service is not expected to be covered by Medicare."The language of that answer does not make it correct when you compare it to what the guide says. On page 5, it states: "The ABN is a standardized form that explains to the patient why Medicare may deny the service or procedure." The keyword here is MAY, which indicates a possibility. The "correct" answer to Question 5 stated, "is not expected to be." That's not the same as "may." The phrase, "is not expected to be," indicates more certainty than "may". The answer therefore should be something like "When a service may not be covered by Medicare" or "may not be expected to be covered by Medicare." See the difference there? This is really the type of critical thinking that you need as a medical coder, and I'm absolutely shocked that something like this wasn't caught prior to printing. At least it's comforting to know that I am very well suited for this field.

Cpc training book

I’m disappointed because it does not match the online version. It has less content.
