Essentials of Human Nutrition

Very detailed. Lovely book to have on the bookshelf.

I returned this book within minutes of purchase because it is suppled in a new 'enhanced' format. The new format has some reasonable features but sever limitations. It is effectively a PDF type view but the Kindle viewer has very poor functionality compared to say, Moon+ Reader pro. You cannot select a text reflow format or change the background colour for ease of reading. It is also incompatible with my phone (so I could not download it on that device)My rating is based on the book, which I subsequently bought in paperback. I've only read a couple of chapters but it is exactly what I was looking for. I have the 2nd edition and the updates effecively make it a new book. I will add a review against the paperback when I have read it. In the meantime just to provide a balance of considerations, the paperback weighs 1.54 kg, so not very convenient for carrying around.Very pleased as usual with Amazon's support with instant phone service to return and refund the Kindle version.

Not really happy with Amazon as I bought the Kindle version of this book (already owned the actual hardback copy as part of my study course), but found that I could not transfer the e-book (cost of which was over £37!!!!!). When I contacted Amazon Customer Service i was told that there was no refund on e-books, but as a courtesy Amazon would give me a £5 discount/gift, but this has not been received or put onto my Account, so I paid £37 for nothing. So the negativity is not to do with the product, it is to do with Amazon Customer Service in firstly not refunding me the full £37 - after all it is not an actual "product", just an e-book - nor at the very least the £5 discount I was offered but never received.

This book is incredible, even at first glance I can see it contains all the information I could possibly want and more. Absolutely cannot fault the book itself. However, I was less than impressed at the state the book arrived in. The box had been opened and due to the fact it had been snowing the book had gotten damp down one side. Not drastically so but enough for me to become more wary about handlers of orders.

Good textbook, though there are better (more expensive) ones out there.

Very useful book and could help a lot as reference and guide you for a further searches.

A great book with lots of information. Easy to read. Nicely laid out.

The book is recommended reading for my course. It is set out clearly and well organised. It is technical and some knowledge of chemistry and biology is a bonus before reading.
