The Snowman and the Snowdog Board book – 1 Oct. 2015

Good stuff

Pre-warning, if you have an elderly dog or have lost a dog, you might find the beginning upsetting. I lost my boy Eddie at 16.5 years old back in 2018 and it still hurts my heart. I didn’t know this story and really didn’t expect the beginning where the boy loses his dog to old age, it was very sad :(I bought this for my daughter (21months) and she absolutely loves it, but I can’t read it unless I skip the first few pages! But that’s just me being extra emotional.

Lovely story but book was crumpled at corner and the CD with the book was broken!

I was looking for this book for a while as my kids love me reading it to them on run up to Christmas. The book came in perfect condition and a lot better than I was expecting. It was so much easier to order through Amazon than walking round the shops looking for it.

I used to read the stories along time ago to my daughters now l can read it to my grandchildren.

This was my first ebook purchase and downloaded eagerly to my Nexus 7 via the Kindle App on 29 December 2012. The book is lovely, beautiful illustrations although a couple of typos (as another reviewer has already noted). Personally I wasn't too bothered about the lack of audio, Little One and I were content to look at the book together, enjoy the story and pictures and learn the names of the little boy and his dog, though I presume once the issues have beens sorted with the publisher I will be presented with an updated audio version to download.However, Little One is keen to receive a "proper" book so no doubt will purchase same when it is released - not sure what the delay is as clearly such a book exists for it to have been scanned into the ebook format.I think that Raymond Briggs can be very proud of the authors / illustators who put this book and the film together.

My little boy loves the snowman and dog story and film so now he will be able to follow along with the CD is great. Especially the little noise it makes to tell you when to turn the page, has been added to our bedtime routine. Great condition on arrival too.
