DK Top 10 Malta and Gozo (Pocket Travel Guide)

I bought this book for a 10-day holiday in Malta. . I usually buy the publisher's travel guides as they are concise, provide the sort of information I find useful, and have good photos which not only make you want to see places, but spare you dense pages of text and detail which make you wonder if you really want to go there. This is a pocket guide, which means you can put it in your back pocket, tuck it into a bag, or if you like having it handy, carry it in your hand without getting cramp. The content is excellent: up to date, covers everything needed for a short stay, , and perhaps even longer stays, and is easy to use and read. The early section on the key historic eras in Malta tells you a lot in a short time (and fired me up to learn more about Malta's amazing history). The guide covers all the areas of mainland Malta, and Gozo. The information as to what to see, where to stay, where to eat, drink and the nightlife has been well researched, and our experiences of the recommended cafes, eateries, and sights (the order is not significant) were consistently good. A bargain at the price, and thoroughly recommended.

An overview of Malta with good map. It coverage all the main areas but not a lot of detail on any one area. Lots of ideas for day trips.

This really covered Malta well, and you do need a guide book as there is just so very much to see and do. This has sections based on your interest, as well as regional. Information was up to date

We bought this for an upcoming trip. We like the size of the guide; easy to fit into our backpack. We like the suggestions of places to see and do plus it shows interesting itineraries. Love the maps included. It even has area for communication essentials that show you have to pronounce common words.
