I used a HoLife 10W wireless charger with a Qprods wireless charge receiver powered from a dedicated 2.1A mains adapter to convert my 4 year old Samsung Galaxy A3 to wireless charging. I also fitted a 3m charging lead between the adapter and charger in place of the shorter lead supplied. The receiver is located behind the phone, between the phone and a plastic Samsung case that I bought with the phone. The charger is permanently connected to the power, regardless of whether in use to charge or not. My comments can only apply to my application.The charger has a light on the front which indicates dark blue when connected to power but not charging. When the phone is placed, correctly, on the charger it charges and the light turns green. It remains green when the phone is in place, even when fully charged. I have seen light blue (or white?) and flashing lights but have not identified their meaning. In some situations the charger cycles between blue and green every few seconds; this indicates either that the phone is not correctly located on the charger or the power available is insufficient (see below).Be aware that the charger requires a dedicated 2.1A USB charge source (normally a mains adapter). It will not work (not even at reduced charge rate) with the 1A power adapters. Also, if fitting a cable other than that supplied it must be a cable suitable for high charge rates. It will not work with the thinner cables supplied for data transfer even though these carry the 5V USB supply. Also, fitting longer leads, even the thicker high power ones, reduces the charge rate - not a problem in my application.Overall, I find that the system works well and avoids the previous need to consciously charge the phone by plugging it in. So lone as I put it on the charger instead of lying it on the desk for a while every day it is always charged with no further effort. This is the effect that I wanted to achieve. One comment though; there is no feed through on the connector so this system uses the micro USB on the phone permanently, making connection of other equipment more difficult. Since I do not often use the socket other than for charging this is no problem.Finally, a note about power consumption. Be aware that these figures relate only to my application and are measured using an uncalibrated domestic power meter with 0.1W resolution. All figures are nominal and a measure of the total power being drawn from the mains by the USB adapter.Power consumption of USB adapter and lead only (charger not connected) - less than 0.1WPower consumption with phone (at 30% charge) on charger - 9.9W using lead supplied (4.0W using my 3m lead)Power consumption with phone (at 100% charge) on charger - 2.0W apparently independent of cable usedIn view of the additional power consumption with the phone on the charger I do not normally leave mine on the charger for long periods when charged. I remove it though I do leave the charger live. I am aware that this contradicts some reports of minimal power consumption when phones are charged but I can only report my findings.

Hi the product arrived on time but this is the wrong product it's got the tip narrow down instead of narrow up. It's totally useless to me.

I am so glad I bought this - I'd been having issues with my phone not charging and as I hate the fiddle of putting the cable in and out I'd started using a magnetic connection charger cable, but it often didn't connect properly and as I charge overnight it was staying on longer than necessary. Then I bought a wireless charger pad and this brilliant little Universal charging receiver. It is fantastic - very neat, very easy to fit (even for a dinosaur). You need to state your phone and model when ordering and which side the hole is - and they send you the one that fits. So impressed.. My phone is in a bumper case - not sure how it would be if you don't have a case at all - although I believe you can have the pad bit inside you phone. I love it.

Works Ok but sometimes a bit temperamental and I have to ensure it is square on the charging pad

I think it is good value for money and easy to use, however I gave a low durability score because frankly I haven't had it long enough ask me again in 6 months

I bought 2 different receivers and 2 different transmitters. This receiver doesn't work so well. With any of the two transmitters, I would get only ~580mA (with the other receiver I would get >900mA). 580mA is still fast enough to be usefull, however, it heats a lot. After a 10% charge, the temperature would rise from 29C to 44C and then, perhaps because of the temperature, it would start to fail, and the phone would stop charging and start again very quickly, which is probably dangerous for the phone.So, with one of the charging mats I bought, with this transmitter, all I could do was charging 10% (15'), then stopping, then maybe letting it cool and trying again. I have better things to do than nurse my phone.

This was fitted to an android phone inside it case but outside the phone itself when placed on the charging place you must get it centered just right or it wont charge,but this is just how induction charging work and you soon get used to it .

I bought this so I could charge my Kindle Paperwhite using the same contactless charger as my phone. It works perfectly, flat enough to fit inside the backcover, it charges through the plastic. I now never have to worry about my Kindle being flat when I use it..
