It works on Linux, and let me talk to a VESC motor controller over CAN bus.

Bad product best to avoid
Mine shorted the can circuit on my car so I sent it back. There was a fault with the gnd pin but that was fine on my version so I am unsure as to why is caused an issue when plugged into my car. Just avoid and spend the money on a proper can bus sniffer.
