I tested my living room HD Converter box with the same tape I used to test my bedroom HD Converter box, (Gloria Estefan - Evolution) from start to end it didn't freeze once so happy with the replacement HD Converter box in current living room setup! I also bought another HD Converter box for my kit hooked up (via Splitter) to the XBox One One Guide Optical Dolby Surround Sound Audio!The seller has been v cooperative answerin' msgs promptly and kindly offered to send another HD Converter box (as a replacement) for my bedroom setup!I really like the Product, I think I just got a dud HD Converter box first time around!As far as the review goes Scart to HDMI 1080i/1080p Visuals on both 32"/42" Panasonic TVs look nice, I have the HD Converters hooked up to LG LV880 VHS recorders, (bedroom setup is via XBox One HDMI Out x3 way splitter for Optical Dolby Surround Sound Audio).Audio is Pro, my bedroom setup is hooked up to a XBox One/Turtle Beach Earforce x41/HD Audio Rush/Pro Home Studio Dolby Surround Sound setup.Just a handy tip also, I hooked up the Ear Force X41 Audio Jack to my Desk and the Ear Force X41 Channel to my KAM KAP500 Mixer Channel hooked upto my XBox/Aux on my Desk, an impressive fine tune, givin' Audio some solid bass + depth with the Dolby Atmos app on XBox One! A great way to fine tune the XBox One + One Guide!A nice touch is the Analog Audio 3.5mm Jack of the HD Converter boxes, hooked upto my Desk they give another impressive fine tune which sounds great!I like the Product's both 1080i/1080p Visuals and really impressed with the 50hz/60hz Audio!I tested my new bedroom HD Converter box with 'Enter the Dragon Uncut Special Edition' and it was smooth, no freezin' issues!Customer Service was friendly and supportive, thanks five stars *****Apart from the freezin' issue on my previous bedroom HD Converter box the VCando is a ***** Product, couldn't recommend it more if your lookin' to upscale to 1080i/1080p 50hz/60hz!Thanks, great Product!

Works ok. Picture quality not ideal

This works great for what I need and a good price too! Build quality far surpassed my expectations, being made fully of metal and good weight to the unit. I am currently using it for a PAL sega mega drive rgb scart. It upscales nice and really clear on my LG 4k tv. Easily the nicest looking image of the old sega I've had. Excellent service and delivery also from seller. If I am to find any negatives or anything to improve, the message box that pops up to show input signal details lingers a little too long. It's only about 30 secs, it would be fine if it was just 5-10 secs long. Its not a major issue as it doesn't take up whole screen and once it disappears i just reset the console and it won't show on the boot up again. I want to stress not a major issue, maybe just something to improve. With all the cheaper upscalers out and all the horror stories of bad products, this is a really good item and can't recommend at this great price!Happy customer!

Product works absolutely fine for connecting the xBox to an older model tv. Only issue is the graphics are not as good as with the previous convertor (old one died). So the degradation of the signal seems to be worse in this than the previous one. Still works fine though.

I was using it to connect to a VCR. I will work with a VCR but not an S-VHS VCR as it does not support Y/C as advertised. All you will get is a black and white picture. If you just use the CVBS signal it will show in colour but still there is some faint lines on the screen so it's not perfect.

..and I can continue to watch my old VHS recordings. Note that I tested it with PAL and SECAM recordings (we had SECAM up to the early '90s in my country). For countries that have used or still use the SECAM system this thing transfers the colour correctly AND NOT in B/W (as long as your VHS VCR is SECAM-compatible...) Also, very important: not the slightest image distortion as with a previous similar converter (especially evident on fonts on screen e.g. opening "blue screen" on late model VHS players or on subtitles). I bought this after a little av forums investigation on how to have a 1:1 SCART VHS to HDMI LED TV picture. And this converter doesn't produce that slight distortion (but existing) like some cheaper ones. Also make sure you use a good undamaged (doesn't have to be expensive) SCART cable and your player's auto-tracking works!
