Excellent system for the price.
I ordered these 2.5 months ago and I've only just installed them. I don't know why I took so long because this is a really good solution.I have a lot of experience of things that attach with sticky pads being fairly useless and pulling off with only mild use. In this case, however, they seem to have put some thought into this. You get a hook on a backing pad which is adhesive one side, then to this you attach double-sided adhesive soft pads, then you attach the soft pad to the wall or ceiling. They say this approach is to maximise the stickiness and it seems to work very well. I gave the patches of wall I was sticking these to a quick clean (any dirt will reduce the adhesive effect), attached the pads and hooks, waited 10 minutes and then started using it, and I've had no problems at all.The experience is very good, no more cables dragging round your feet, tripping you up, wrapping round your legs. The system even seems to help with the cable twisting problem you get after playing VR for a time.I've only use 3 of the 6 pulleys, two on the wall next to my PC to bring the cable up to the ceiling, and one in the ceiling in the middle of my 2m by 2m room. This serves to give me good range of mobility in the room, certainly with normal use. The current game I'm playing (Fallout 4 VR) doesn't require any ducking with the options I have set, so I haven't test crouching down in the corners of the room, but otherwise it has no impact on range. The only mild negatives I can say are do you get a mild pulling effect on your head, as you might expect. It feels a bit weird but it is mild so I'm sure I'll get used to it. Also, the cable can move around within the carabiners which causes more tugging on the cable, shaking the cable whilst extending the pulleys slightly seems to fix this. A mild issue but still much more convenient than standing on cables. All in all, a great product, certainly can't complain for the price, I highly recommend it.

Who needs Wireless
Brilliant product that works very well and is easy to set up.It could be improved by the hooks having more curve and holding the pulleys better. Occasionally a pulley has released because of this. Also some written setup instructions would be better than the video link supplied. That said is a super product and work really well. No need for wireless with this.

Excellent results!
If you are even thinking about getting these, get them. What a difference and they work perfectly with my Vive. They extend a lot further than I expected and at the moment I have only had to use three of the six pulleys supplied. No more tangled cables wrapped around your legs makes for a far superior vr immersion experience. Really pleased with overall quality as well. Make sure you get the positioning of the hooks right first time though as I can't see them coming back off very easily :)

Overall no complaint about the product, it does what it says on the tin. The pieces seem of decent quality and installation was easy. The only suggestion I would make is to include some cable ties.. Maybe its more to do with the way I have installed the lanyards, but I am finding the carabiner clips are slipping on the oculus cable which sometimes results in the cable dangling around my face. A quick shuffle of the cable and its fine again. I can solve the issue by just ensuring that the carabiner cannot slip beyond a certain point, but of course I need to get out and buy something to do that ;) some cable ties in the package would have been ideal.

Fantastic idea! Works great - no more cable tangled between my legs.

works very good.
I have used this for at lot of months now. Works perfect. I have set it up slightly different than shown in the picture as I found it works better if you move the coord from A => B => C => D => F => D => E.Ie. twice in D to end up in E. That way F and D share the weight of the second last point. In the final hinge E I use a girls hairband which makes it such that I can how much coord is allowed to flow down the neck. You need different when sitting as to standing and with a hairband its easy to adjust up and down.It works so good I don't see any need for wireless as I consider the problem solved.

Midwec vr support
I should say that I've not yet installed these on the ceiling, so this is only a review of the product quality and construction. The kit is well packaged (each individual part is separately packaged) , and all seems to be very sturdy.Perhaps the only alteration I'd make would be to the metal hooks that go into the cable pulley module. They don't fit terribly well, so the pulley is at an angle when hanging down. I dont think it'll make much functional difference though, just an observation.Incidentally I also bought the midwec rubber covers for the vive controllers (not from UK amazon store) and they're also very well made and function well.Good company then, and I'd be happy to purchase any future products they may come up with.

I recommend getting 6 pulleys in total if you are mounting your HTC Vive cable. 3 pulleys doesn't have enough of a pull to retract the wire, but having 2 pulleys on each anchor point will do this perfectly.
