Glee 3D - wow
I have finally realised and come to terms with the fact that I am a closet Glee fan along with my daughter. In fact when my wife is away with work, my daughter and I will have a Glee night, involving chocolate, Fanta and Glee (my son hides in his room playing Minecraft). We're halfway through season 2 so plenty still to watch. Having said that, I haven't actually watched this 3D concert myself but my daughter says its awesome, so something to watch when the missus is away again.

Gleeee!
I am one of the biggest Gleeks around and I couldn't wait to watch this. I didn't pay much for it, although I can't remember how much it was now, but I would recommend this to any fan of Glee. It is such a fun watch and there is lots of behind the scenes footage if I remember rightly. It is all recorded from one of their live shows, so I felt like I was there when I watched it.

Good fun but could be better ...
Didn't see the film at the cinema or the live concert so this was a first look.I really enjoyed the film BUT why isn't the full concert released? I presume another Blu Ray/DVD will appear in the fullness of time to get you to buy it again.Singing quality is awesome for a live concert - sounded like studio quality but I couldn't see evidence of lipsync and a number of singers threw in extra comments to audience members. Shows just how talented they are! Dancing is also excellent - though often you can't see much of it because the cameras focus on the singers more. The running time for the film is list as about 1 hour 23 minutes but a large chunk of the film is fans chatting, backstage gossip and nonsense - not to say I didn't think those parts added to the film and were worthwhile in themselves (a couple of really moving and inspiration stories) but it cuts down the amount of music. I haven't measured it but I'd guess there is no more than 45-50 minutes of music. The editing means that it is obvious that large chunks of the concert are simply cut out and many of the songs that are there are abridged (there are two extra copies of songs in the full performance version) which is a little sad.For this issue - there are two disks in the pack. The Blu Ray constains the standard and 3D editions of the film (can't comment on the 3D because my TV doesn't support it) but the picture and sound quality of the standard Blu Ray version are very good. As for the CD there is a lot of audience noise but as you can seem them it is less intrusive and you do feel you are at a very lively concert. The drawback of the BR having both versions is that the majority of the extras are not present on the BR disk. The second disk is a DVD version including all the extras (a couple of full length songs and some missing footage of various characters talking to the audience and acting out silly/fun bits - including the hilarious Sue Silvester introductions - she doesn't actually appear in the film). There is also a short behind the scenes featurette. The DVD also includes the necessary info for the digital copy - not sure why but this has to be downloaded and for PC use is 1Gb and the server was very slow - very strange. Also note that the leaflet with the download code for the digital copy says it will not be available indefinitely. So you may find you buy the digital copy and then can't get it - surely this would break the Trades Description Act since the box is clearly labelled and advertised as containing the digital copy and you don't see the warning until you have broken the seal.My copy the DVD looks a bit scratched and dusty(seems to play OK though) even though it was still securely fastened in the case on arrival. All in all I enjoyed the film but it would have been better to have the film plus the full concert without interruptions. One big gripe - not enough Curt! From questions people are asking here are some details (shame Amazon can't include this int eh product description):On the Blu Ray:Languages are: English 5.1 DTS-HD, English 5.1 (descriptive audio), German 5.1 DTS, Italian 5.1 DTS, PortugeseSubtitles are: English HOH, Spanish, French (Quebec), French, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portugese, SwedishRegion codes (from the disk labels):DVD - Region 2Blu Ray - Regions A and B

Great Film
If you're a Gleek like me, this movie is for you. I rewatched all Glee episodes during the lockdown and I needed something more after the last series. This movie was it. Great songs and Dancing just a perfect film.

3D too Jumpy in parts and mostly a talk show
It was Glee live in concert but they spent more than half the thing by my reckoning just with the camera men talking to the attendees and doing back stories on random peoples lives. I DONT CARE, I wanted to see a Glee concert not a daytime talk show, where was the music. My entire family was rather disappointed, put all that in the extras so that anyone who cares can go and watch it. They even showed a few extra bits which made it look like there was some interesting stuff going on on-stage with the characters but they cut that for some sob story. Oh and the rapid movements of the Warblers made the 3D a bit jerky on the projector. Whether it would be better on my screen I am not sure.

A MUST for fans.
Great performances and amazing 3D effects. The dialogs of the characters backstage are really witty, and the stories of the fans are really interesting. It includes Spanish subtitles, although it's not written on the cover, so it's intresting for fans in Spain since we only get the DVD. Very, very enjoyable. The only con Ifind is that the lips and the audio aren't perfectly syncronized all the time.

emozionante

Captures the fun and enthusiasm of the first season!
Well, I just don't know what the other reviewers were expecting. I DID go with a friend to see the film in the theatre and we both LOVED it. I think the studio waited too long to make this. Glee after the first season became very formulaic - there was simply nowhere for the story line to go: glee club geeks can't get no respect from other students, other teachers and the powers that be - and evil Sue Sylvester wants them destroyed. Okay, we got it! As much as I loved the first season, I stopped watching a few episodes into Season 2. The novelty was gone and there was not much room for growth. This movie however, took me back to that dazzling first season - with JUST the music and the enthusiasm. I loved the performances and I did enjoy the fan interviews. My friend and I actually got up and danced along in the theatre as we watched this.My non-Glee friends and I have had many discussions about the pros and cons of Glee. My stance has always been that if the show makes some kid go out and buy a Queen album or a Judy Garland album, or a John Lennon album, or a Beatles album, etc, that would the best of all results. I mean, my pals and I had no idea who Muddy Waters or Howling Wolf were until The Stones and Yardbirds introduced them to us.I enjoyed the film IMMENSELY and it has now become my favorite workout dvd - I mean, you cannot sit still while watching this. So, to you humbugs out there, lighten up! It's still almost the musical version of The Breakfast Club. Let yourself go and just enjoy!
