In my opinion, you would get 6 servings only if everyone had very small appetites or was just having a bit of mash together with a lot of other veg. If it is a major part of the meal (e.g. a hearty sausage and mash meal for adults, which is when I'm most likely to use it) then for us 3 servings per sachet is more realistic. It is a very acceptable alternative to real potato mash, however. It tasted good, with the added butter; it is obviously very smooth; it was easy to make; and all the powder reconstituted well. I put my jug of it once made in the microwave for a minute, as (if I followed the instructions properly - always possible I didn't) I was sure the addition of cold liquid at the end would cool it down too much, and it certainly would have so it needed the boost. But I was in a hurry and maybe missed something like I shouldn't have been adding cold milk.A very good standby to throw a quick meal together.

This product tastes much more like normal potato than other instant potatoes due to the salt and butter being added to it and there being no artificial ingredients. However I felt it is misleading due to the size of the pouches and thus the whole box would work out as half the servings it states with 3 servings being in each pouch. I also felt it could be cheaper as this same product is in Macro and it is much cheaper for its size; and it would be useful if the 'vegetarian' symbol was added to the product otherwise I feel it is a great product.I would recommend it to those who want a fast natural mashed potato without worrying about the washing up.

Peeling potatoes sucks...it just does. But mash potato is so nice with a bunch of things.Is this stuff as good as mash made from potatoes straight from the bag....no, it isn't. But is it worth it for the incredible convenience....yes, I think so. And for use when away camping etc, its superb.To make it, you just boil some water with a bit of butter in it, then add milk and then tip in the sachet of potato...and stir. It works every time, it doesn't stick or separate or not mix etc, it just works.However! Be aware that you only get 8 sachets in the box and we use 2 per meal for our family of 4. That actually makes a little too much, but we find that 1 sachet isn't enough. So in our case, we get 4 dinners out of this.You end up with a quite creamy style mash, which is perfectly fine but if you prefer your mash thicker and even lumpy then this isn't for you.Would definitely recommend.

When I was looking into buying these I have to be honest, the "48 Servings 8 Sachets- 6 Servings Each" confused me, and when just 1 box arrived that confused me even more lol.This is what you get.... 1 Box of Honest Earth All Natural Instant Creamy Mashed Potatoes, and in that 1 box is 8 smaller packets. Each one of these smaller packets is meant to serve 6 people. But in our house 1 packet is a meal for 2 of us.They say this is how you make them:1: Boil 2 cups (470ml) of water2: Remove from heat & add 3/4 cup (180ml) of cold water or skimmed milk3: Stir while adding 1 packet of Potatoes4: Let stand for 10 seconds, stir & serve.But we didn't make them like that. We put 450ml of cold water & 200ml of milk into a pan, let it heat up, mix in the packet of Potatoes and leave it 2-3mins, then serve. That's how we like it & it's pretty simple to make.The best before date is August 2015, that is 11 months from the date we received them. But truth be told they wont last 11 months, they are so nice they will be gone in a few weeks!

Yummy yum, we really like these compared to a well known instant mash brand. I have served them to guests and they did not know they were instant smash. With some butter it's delicious soft and creamy. So much easier and quicker. Very filling. Would love a much bigger box because these you only get 8 packets in a box. One pack is enough for one very filling meal. I would say, these are the best instant mash I have ever had. Very promt delivery and they will be my regular thing I would purchase.

I was ripped off

Very nice and simple to prepare but Very expensive for a powdered mash and you only get three reasonable sized portions from each sachet.

I think Honest Earth Mash has the best flavour and texture out of any other brands. Very easy to make up and excellent on it's own with just a touch more butter and pepper added to taste. Also works well as a topping for shepherds pie. Can't find this product in the supermarkets, so really pleased to see it on Amazon.
