Learning to be a bag dispenser
I use these all the time, and they are strong enough for my needs. If I am storing something like nuts, they are also cheap enough to double bag. There is a trick to tearing them off the roll. Hold the roll in your left hand and slowly unroll, with the top of the bag bunched uo in the right handt. When you get to the off centre slit between bags, slip a few fingers of you left hand into the slit and pull sharply with your right hand. The idea is to 'aiml the force of the sharp tug towards your finger in the slit, and the bag separates very well. I think they are probably designed to be used in self serve supermarket situations, and fingers act as a substitute for the metal gizmo that separates the bags when you give them a tug. I suspect people are impatient and also used to holding the two bags at the join and pulling from one end, not from the slit, so they make a hash of it. But they are lovely bags, in constant use here, so its as well to learn the easiest way to separate them! (This works on big black bags as well if the separation between bags has a slit.)

Good quality, good price
I'm perfectly happy with these. You need to know that they're very thin, as used in shops for immediate wrapping of fresh food. That's why they're very inexpensive. If you want heavyweight food bags then you need to pay a lot more, but I don't know why: I find these perfectly adequate and wonderfully economical, and if the odd one tears then it's no big deal.

Sainsbury stopped doing basic food bags so I tried these.
these are cheaper than the Sainsbury basics used to be. (Anyone else think Sainsbury is replacing cheaper things with more expensive ones - is this going upmarket or up profit?). However they are a bit flimsy and I have ruined quite a few by ripping the bottom of the bag when I tear it off the roll. Not sure if I will buy them again.

Elasticity of the bags themselves
I would have liked them a little larger and thicker.

Yes, they are a bit flimsier than the ones ...
Yes, they are a bit flimsier than the ones I used to buy, but I have found this to be the case no matter where you buy, I have used them for keeping vegetables and stored items in freezer and so far they have stayed intact, so maybe my 3 stars are a bit mean.

Great all purpose bag
Appeared to be quite thin compared to the ones I was trying to replace but when in use, are strong enough for the job and good value for money. Just take care and take time to tear the bag off the roll, and make sure you tear at the perforation line.

Flimsy and easily tears into holes
I bought these bags a year ago and they were great. Sadly the new roll, just delivered, is completely different, even though it has the same branding. Terrible quality!

Flimsy, flimsy!
These bags are very flimsy. They are entirely comparable with the clear produce bags one uses on rolls in supermarkets next salad and veg. shelves. I will not buy this product again. Be very advised!
