Best kids Christmas book.
I have bought this for so many kids I know. Was firm favourite with mine when younger. Such an engaging story of the many friends, relatives and other quirky characters who spontaneously turn up at Exeter Street for Christmas, who are accommodated in most funny and unusual ways. Beautifully illustrated. Highly recommend.

Unusual and wonderful tale for Yuletide!
Loved the older time setting and the amazing warmth and generosity of the family to all who turned up to the big old house. Lovely cosy hygge feeling! Lovely book to read with the children, as so many things to spot in the pictures. Love it!

Very funny and meaningful too.
I wanted a book that showed the true meaning of Christmas, but that can be difficult when the child's parents are not religious. This book shows the spirit of Christmas at its best . I bought more copies once I'd read it. The family in the book help all those who need a place to stay at Christmas, with hilarious results. The aunties on the dresser shelves are unforgettable! This book is suitable for any child of any religion or none, because the essential story is of kindness to others. It works on many levels, so is suitable for older children that read well as well as the usual age group for picture books.

Beautiful Book
This book is so gorgeous, full of honest writing and beautiful illustrations. I loved reading it and I can’t say that about many of the stories I read my five year old. True meaning of Christmas in this book.

Lovely lovely lovely!
The most beautiful book for Christmas time, an absolute pleasure to read. Bit of comedy in it with characters having to sleep in the bath and kitchen sink. It’s got a nostalgic feel, if you like Shirley Hughes books - you’ll like this.

Blummin Brilliant
Wow, one of the best books I have ever read as an adult, plus as an adult to my 4 year old lad. This has become a family classic in our house and makes me want to stop my lad from growing up into Harry Potter and that sort of stuff, absolutely worth your time and money, I would put it in my top 10 children books for ages 3-6, but you can buy it from beyond amzonon and their corproate greeeeeed

Favorite Christmas book
We love this book at our house. It's out of print, sadly. If you can find one, its worth a look! Such a cute story about the woman who takes everyone in on Christmas Eve and finds a place for each one, even utilizing shelves and mantels. So cute!
