'83 release
1983 CD date, 9 tracks. "Tell Mama, Magic of Love, Misery 'N, One Night Stand, Harry, Raise Your Head, Farewell Song, Medley, Amazing Grace/High Heeled Sneakers. Catch Me Daddy". Intro to "Misery 'N" is interesting, One Night Stand - do not recall this on anything else, Harry is "organized noise" Raise your Head - good drive, fast.. Farewell Song.. like about a lost love affair that didn't work, blues for sure... now goodbye, I don't think I can't keep dying, I had to leave you Darlin', I couldn't help myself.... audience loved it... Amazing Grace... many of us raised in Church know the words, like a drudge, not joyfully, then Into High Heel Sneakers, the contrast says much.... "Catch me Daddy.. 'cause I'm movin' on" - I consider this album well worth having, glad I bought "Farewell Song" & "In Concert" so recommend them. Was worth my $$ to me, a blues & rock fan,. Buy it as add-on to the main 3 albums. -30-

Janis's last album
We miss you Janis, there was never again another Janis Joplin. If only you could have relaxed a little bit and enjoyed your fame and talent rather than desperately seeking external validation. If you like Janis get this album, it only has 9 tracks but it only costs $5. She had split with Big Brother and the Holding Company at this point and was in the process of polishing her own work. Her future would have been so amazing if she had only realized that the biggest stars get the strongest drugs. I wish she had smoked a little pot and left the heroine alone.

Turn it up !!!
This album has been overlooked. There's some great material on here. These are songs that weren't used on other Joplin albums but they are far from bad. They may not be her best songs but they are certainly enjoyable. A great addition to any Joplin collection.
