Danforth Remembrance Poppy Lapel Pin (Red) – Handcrafted Pewter Lapel Pins For Women, 7/8“, Made In USA

I purchased this for myself because my whole life I would donate to the Veterans who used to sell the Buddy Poppies for Memorial Day and Vetrans Day. Sadly, that is not done anywhere near where I live. In fact, it hasn’t been done for quite a few years. I had two poppies left that I got out to wear for Me oral and Veterans Days. But I lost them both in the last move we made. 😢I hope to still find them but it’s not looking good so I thought I would check out what was available in a brooch/pin. My eye was immediately drawn to the Danforth poppy.I was a little leery of it being much smaller in size than a handmade Buddy Poppy, but it just looked so beautiful and the cost was very reasonable so I bought it.Turns out my husband thought it also looked very nice and asked if he could put it on his straw fedora hat. I was more than happy to gift it to him and I purchased another one for myself. He has already gotten compliments on it! He wears it in honor of his brother who fought in the Vietnam War and his father who was a Merchant Marine during WW II.My husband and I are very happy with the purchase of these two poppy pins.They catch the eye without being obnoxious. You can tell just by looking at them that they are designed and made very well.In fact, I was so impressed with the pin that I also purchased Danforth’s four leaf clover pin for my husband’s hat! He really likes that too!

The pin is discreet enough for my military veteran husband to wear on his lapel with pride, so unlike others, it’s not an overly feminine piece. It looks well-made, durable and the colors are rich and beautiful.

I ordered this poppy pen, and wore and support of fallen veterans. Everyone that saw it thought it was a rose a very poor design.

I bought this in order to observe the month of Remembrance; November.It’s small, very well made and beautiful. The colour is a rich red and tipped with silver-tone. The enameling is splendid.

Beautiful color, shine and very classy. A little smaller than expected, but Very beautiful.

The poppy is really pretty but the red color is a few shades darker than advertised.I am wearing the pin on my USO (3/4” width) lanyard and the edges of the pin are extending a bit beyond the width of the lanyard.I could send it back but I don't know if other poppies will be lighter in color than the one I received.Overall I am fairly happy with my purchase.I was looking for a smaller poppy lapel pin to make up for the one I lost but the one I bought was doable in size.
