CD Slot Car Mount, Cuxwill Universal CD-Slot Car Phone Holder with One Hand Operation Design for iPhone 11/X/XR/XS/8/7/6/6S/ and Other Smartphones

I purchased this for my 2016 Acura RDX because I didn’t buy the technology package with the navigation, so I just use my phone for navigation. I put it in the CD player easily without any directions. When you’re putting it together you have to use a little strength to put the ball in the slot but that’s it (you’ll see what I’m talking about in the directons).I have an iPhone 8 Plus and it stretches perfectly for it. Only thing is when you’re removing it you have to slowly remove it or else it will contract fast and your phone can cause the holder to fall out of the CD player. If you use care & common sense it’s a great product! Only other downfall is that it covers my volume button but I have it on my steering wheel so it’s no problem. It’s easy to remove when you don’t need it for navigation as well & you can tilt it to whatever direction you want.

not a bad product. i mean who really listens to CDs anymore. this is a geat way to make use of the tray. the only reason i cant give it a 5 is the design. it covers buttons i may want to use. luckily in my case the buttons they cover in the 2 vehicles i put them in, i can use on the steering wheel. the other issue, and its not really on the product, is the way the radio is setup in my 08 pilot, the CD tray is right above the display. it 1 forces the mount and phone to cover the display and 2, as i tighten the mount to get a good grip, it presses on the display, distorting it. my only workaround is to use the navi touchscreen to work the radio, which isnt a bad thing. overall the mounts are sturdy and hold my LG V20 perfectly.

Previous to this mount, I had a magnetic mount for my iPhone 6S Plus, which worked perfectly. Now, I have the iPhone X l, and because of the wireless charging I can no longer use the magnetic mount. I purchased this to solve that issue. While it does work well, due to the placement of my CD player in my 2015 Mazda3, my phone gets in the way of my AC controls, as it did with the previous mount as well. With that being said, I love the mount but not the placement of my CD player. If this mount would’ve came with the vent mount attachment, it would’ve been even better.One thing though... I’ve had this mount for just about a month now, and a rubber pad is starting to fall off. It may be because of the fact that it’s been getting cold here. But I bet a dab of an adhesive will work and make it stick again.

As a Ford Escape owner (2015 SE) I have struggled to find the right non evasive dash mount for recording while driving (never can be too safe now-a-days). I’ve tried the suction cups that tend to fall off in extreme hot or cold weather (Illinois - so I get both). This nifty little dash mount fits my iPhone 8’s with their cases and my galaxys with their cases. The mount itself seems sturdy and sits just high enough over the CD tray area to record all of the road. I am really pleased with this deviceMy review is mine alone. I have not received a free product or a discount of any type. I rarely leave 5 star reviews, but this dash mount has ended a several month search. I would recommend and purchase again(Fyi I can adjust the phone in the mount to see more of the road. I just happened to have my vehicle parked in my garage and tossed it on for this review. Normally I would barely see any of the “Ford Escape hump in the center of the dash”

This phone mount is amazing. Finally someone thinks outside of the box and use it obsolete crevices or holes from technologies pastime. There are three parts that hold the CD mount in place. Three inserts, one that moves down the other stay in place. As you tighten the middle insert it holds it tighter and tighter. I would be cautious as to not make it too tight as you don't want to damage any components. Just tighten it right before you hear any cracks that would be a bad sign. All in all a great mount and probably one of the best I have used yet. The mount that it is in a perfect location and easily accessible and can't be seen from outside of the car.

I live in a hands-free state and drive Uber/Lyft on occasion, so the death of my old phone mount after less than a year wore on me. Vent mounts don't work because the plastic loosens and falls out during winter when I run the heat. The rotator ball on my old mount went loose and wobbly in a way that was unfixable. A CD mount is pretty much the only feasible solution for my particular model car. This mount is super sturdy, super easy to use, and leaves the bottom of my phone accessible for cords and whatnot while not squeezing the side buttons. The ball mount is re-adjustable in a way that if it ever loosens, it can be tightened back. I think this one is in it for the long haul.

Great product. The mount holds firm in the CD slot. The knob is a bit bulky and gets in the way of some of my radio preset buttons but not a deal breaker. It's easy 1 handed use to mount and dismount your device. You have to lock in the the angle and screw it in. The problem is you can't move the orientation of the mount on the fly. You have to unscrew it from behind in order to move the orientation.

Finally I am hands free when using my phone with GPS in the car! No more balancing on my leg, the passenger seat or in the cup holder , or worst yet holding the phone in my hand. Install was quick and easy, my phone is now visible while driving and I don't have to take my eyes off the road or my hands off the wheel. With the twist of 2 easy grip screws it installs into the CD player slot , its stable and adjustable for phone angle and portrait or landscape view by just a twist of the holder. Thumbs up and 5 gold stars!!
