I purchased this for when you're seasoning meats and one hand is "dirty" so I don't have to stop and wash my hands to use my regular, two-handed pepper mill. I really enjoy it. It mysteriously stopped working after 3 weeks and I thought it must have burned through the batteries already but the next day it started working again on its own. Easy to fill and adjust the grind. I love that you can keep it in the on position and just hold it upside down to grind pepper. Nifty little tool if you cook a lot and insist on freshly ground pepper.

I give this a lower rating because it took some doing to get it to work properly. Now that I have figured out the fixes it is great. The problem was with how the battery pack is designed. The pins that are under the bottom plate are flimsy and I had to bend these up and support them a bit to get the voltage to flow when I turned it upside down to operate. Plus the batteries themselves are not held in tightly and I had to work on getting them to stay in place well. But I did that and it works nicely now. One minor negative on top of this is the rounded bottom and flared heavy top that makes it easy to knock over. With all of this it does do its job well ... grind pepper.

got it fast, the packaging was really beat up, but the unit seemed fine. Read the instructions put the batteries in and filled the chamber with pepper kernals. Turned it upside down and it works great. Different courses of pepper and no problems so far. Very good looking design for the table.

Good size and fancy looking addition to our dinner table. Guests are impressed. Good price.Works well. Instructions are not clear as to where you put and put the salt in and I almost broke it. Decent adjustable control over the size of the granules of salt and pepper.Make sure you buy whole peppercorns and large granule "rock like" salt. Don't buy real rock salt not for consumption, you can get chunky pink salt right here on Amazon.

Awesome product, just that consumes too many batteries (4) unexpected

My husband recently had shoulder replacement surgery and could not use a manual pepper grinder.We both like pepper on our food to our own personal taste. Purchased this battery operated grinder and it meets our needs perfectly.

Had to loosen it too much to get the fine salt crystals and then the bigger pieces fall out the hole.

Just as promised. Excellent product, and will remember if I need a replacement.
