Another fail, why do I keep buying this stuff?

This circuit should have included an output buffer, line driver or something to prevent the downstream circuitry from loading down the converter but it did not so it is useless for all except the most trivial of applications. I have this module setup to translate between an ESP32 (3.3v pins) and set of stepper motor drivers. I have been using the same setup with an arduino (5v pins) for many months without issue. When the converter is disconnected from the drive the output waveform has a maximum amplitude of 4.80 VDC. When the output of the module is connected to the stepper drive pulse pin the waveform max drops to 2.1 VDC and below,, even if the drive is turned off. That is a lower signal amplitude than I have with no converter in place therefore working this product into my product has made the product less likely to work than it was before.. Yet again this has been a waste of a small amount of my money and a complete waste of a very large amount of my time. I could probably get a refund but what is $10 going to do towards 12 hours of wasted time on a project that is already starting to run behind? Check out my review on the opto-isolator module by the same company. Just as bad ad this one.
