I’m very satisfied with this scoby! It arrived quickly and in great shape—thick, healthy, and ready to go. Brewing the tea was super easy, and within just 7 days I had my first batch of delicious kombucha. The taste was surprisingly smooth and well-balanced. I've been using it weekly since and consistently get fresh kombucha. Highly recommend it, especially if you're a beginner in that process.

Don’t be surprised that they’re SUPER full- it’s the gasses being released. I really like these and they worked extremely well for making Kombucha. In one brew, it pays for itself! And, I got it really fast and could start brewing right away. Plus, it’s cheap and I didn’t have to track one down from someone local which I’ve done before! Yay!

This is a good sized thick scoby but th packaging is terrible. The type of bag could not hold the liquid and it spilled out and seeped into the interlayer and leaked all over my house when I took it out, (even though the package appeared to be sealed?!) Big unusable mess!Also, the product is intended to only make one quart of kombucha which i did not realize when I ordered it.

Update: it came back to life and works overtime.Just as some other buyers, I’ve received a scoby with no tea, it sunken to the bottom and we’ll just pray it is a survivor..

Beautiful large scoby…not as much starter usually included. Calls for additional starter. Recipe for very small batch…I added vinegar and made a gallon so we shall see.

Received the mail place took a little longer than I wanted them to take for the product to get in, but it still worked great the way they had it package a good company

Quick delivery of a robust, thick and healthy Scoby and starter liquid which has produced an excellent surface Scoby and smells delicious. Using a 23" x 6" Ultratherm Heat Mat with a heat probe attached to the side of a 2- gallon Anchor Hocking drink dispenser with spigot. Temperature controlled at 80 F with aHerpstat 2 Spyder Robotics thermostat. Outside of the heat pad insulated with strips of Redford Cold Snap Insulation Tape and the ends and edges of the mat held in place with wide Frogtape.
