Together Forever: The Best Of Rick Astley

Rick Astley, I love you all over again! Handsome as hell too. Anyway, I love his deep baritone voice belting out some of his funkiest songs and also his soft ballads. He's just amazing, just like when I first him sing "Never Gonna Give You Up" and "Together Forever". He also shines on "She Wants To Dance With Me", another funky groove. He really knocked me out when I first heard his version of "Ain't Too Proud To Beg", a really great Temptations song. He sounds just as good as the late great David Ruffin. I'm not kidding you on that! I love all the songs on this 2-cd album set. That's what's so great about it too, plus the price is just right for my budget. When you listen to the songs on these two albums, you'll know you're listening to some of the best old school blue-eyed soul in the world!

I enjoy Rick Astley and bought his few albums when he first began his recording career. He reminded me of Gene Pitney. This is the most complete collection of his recordings that I have found so far. It took a bit of time to arrive, but it was well worth waiting for. I am also a Nat King Cole fan and Astley's version of "When I Fall in Love" is one of my favorite covers of that standard. Also, his more recent recordings show that he still has that great voice. I only wish he had not tired earlier in his music career.

This two disc set includes all the songs from his first album "Whenever You Need Somebody", including his first five hit singles ("Never Gonna Give You Up" and "Together Forever" became his only number 1 hits in the US), eight of the songs from his second album, "Hold Me In Your Arms" (Including his fourth and last US Top 10 hit, "She Wants to Dance with Me"), the whole "Free" songlist (The iconic "Cry For Help" included), and six songs out of eleven from "Body & Soul".The only songs left out from this compilation are "My Arms Keep Missing You" (issued as the B-Side of "When I Fall In Love" and later included in his second album), "Sleeping" and "Keep It Turned On" (From his 2001 album "Keep It Turned On"), "Lights Out" and ""Goodbye But Not the End" released only as singles.

I am one who has been around nearly as long as Rick has. I have everything that he has done now that I have this CD. If you are a person who in fact likes Rick and enjoys real, true talent in voice, sound and looks than this is the CD for you. It has all the best of his hits that sadly the US has forgotten about. Then again not just the US because Rick has done more if you will CD'S and or albums if you will then anyone really knows. This CD will help you find easy listening, then turn around and make you dance like never before. It has all that you want to bring back great memories and allow you to have the "Best" of a "True Talent". Please I really tell you if you like Rick this is the second CD I would advise all to buy because of the number of songs. Best to date for me of Ricks is "Keep It Turn On" Audio CD not the single tracks. This you must hear but please know it was done only in Germany. This meaning that her on the US as well as the CO, Canada Amazon it is very costly. However it should not be people are simply being greedy as so many other's have making tons of money off of Rick. I was Blessed enough to get it from Amazon UK where I foud it for less than half of what was being asked here on the US site. What saddens me is that I found US seller's on the Over seas Amazon's selling because they were selling at even a higher cost. Never the less if you are able to get this CD PLEASE know This & "Keep It Turned On" are the top two CD for me by Rick. Please note he is on FaceBook but I don't mess with that. He can be found through Google as well. Rick is DJ'Ing now for the UK but as of date we in the US are unable to download the Player from their station to listen to Rick and the music he plays. I was glad I bought this. I bought Rick's very first 2 cds & loved them. During the early 90's Rick put out a few more cds -unknown to me. This happened at a time when the internet was still in its infancy. So finding the latest dirt on celebrities singers etc. wasn't as easy as it is today. Anyway this best of collection was a welcome surprise! Rick's earliest hits from the late 80's will always be my favorites. His later songs are equally enjoyable too. For me the best tunes from the 90's include ''When I Fall In Love'' ''Behind The Smile'' ''Wonderful You'' & A ''Dream For Us''.''It Would Take A Strong Strong Man''&''Giving Up On Love'' from the 80's are great too. These tunes are great when you just want to relax or spend an evening at home. Everything on these 2 discs have been remastered so they sound better than ever. This was my first online purchase ever. Service & delivery was excellent. I'd recommend Rick Astley's music to anyone.

Very happy with my purchase. I haven't even played disc 2 yet because I just keep listening to disc 1. A lot of really great songs. Only gave 4 stars because haven't heard the rest of the songs yet. Shipping was super fast and disc was in perfect new condition.

My collection started with Rick Astley on vinyl and I wanted to enjoy those songs in digital format, so I purchased the same albums on CD along with this CD. The audio on the "Whenever You Need Somebody" CD was poor. I was disappointed. There was a delay on getting this imported copy from Amazon, but it was worth the wait! The audio was crisp and clean, exactly what I have become used to from CDs (the whole selling point). And the collection of songs has reminded me why I like Rick Astley so much to begin with. The guy has a big voice! This has become my go-to CD when it comes to needing a Rick Astley fix.

As a huge Rick Astley fan and have been since I was a teenager this cd was great for transporting back to a time when life was so much simpler. Rick's voice still sounds stunning even after all these years

A very good introduction to Rick Astley, it shows there is more to him than 'that song'!

Another great bargain from Amazon. Good quality double album featuring loads of beat, as well as ballads. Rick Astley has a great voice which is underrated.
