Not very tastey. (Not tastey at all) Possibly the excessive seasoning is trying to mask the added protein? But then again I didn't buy it for the taste. I've been ill and instant potatoes are something I can keep down. I'm very happy to find some instant potatoes with added protein. As far as Im concerned this is a great invention.

These are tasty little single serving packets that pack in good protein. It’s a little thicker than the average mashed potatoes mix, but otherwise it’s great for a quick pick me up.

After losing weight on the Optavia plan, I was looking for less expensive substitutes and discovered these potatoes. The flavor and texture is similar to Optavia. They waffle like the Optavia potatoes

When you open the envelope there is the strong scent of the onion soup mix that you mix with sour cream to make dip. When you taste it, you get that scent in your nose, and on your tongue there's a combo of that flavor (savory) and potato chip dust -- the stuff they apply to plain chips to turn them into "sour cream and chives" chips, which is kind of sweet. The product would be better if they just chose one. The flavors conflict with each other, and don't combine well, although you'd think they would. The finished product looks unappetizing, but I can get past that.One the plus side, preparation is quick and easy. I won't throw out the remaining packets, but won't buy again. I'm writing this review in part as a reminder to myself.

It goes well with chicken. Pair with butter, green beans and some cheese. A perfect and unexpected replacement.

Well, I was super excited for something similar to yummy mashed potatoes. I'm on a very low carb, low fat, higher protein diet. This product didn't hit the mark. Maybe it was the "bacon" bits? Perhaps the other varieties without the weird bits may taste better? These prepared taste like what I imagine a gruel or perhaps thick, flour paste would taste. I can't say anything good about this product except they do LOOK like some mashed potatoes. As an alternative the sloppy Joe & cheesecake mix are very good.

The high protein content of these mashed potatoes mean that I can enjoy them while sticking to my low-carb food plan. They're not as good as "real" mashed potatoes, obviously, and they're pricey -- but definitely worth it for the occasional treat.
