Almost a perfect 10 out of 10. I give it an eight because of the sheath.
Didn't know how the quality would be considering a couple reviews already written.Am pleasantly surprised by the knife itself. Sharp edge, seems to be quality steel, pakkawood grips had nice grain detail. Grip rivets were slightly raised over the wood, but not very noticeably.Good heft and weight to the blade. Feels well balanced.Only downfall is the sheath. The knife would NOT SEAT fully into it, and I could not snap the retaining strap. The design of the throat of the sheath was marginally cut to a close-ish match to the handle where it should fit when seated.I took an exacto knife with a new blade, and slowly trimmed the area back to fit and allow the blade to fully seat. I got a good enough fitment that the "prongs/points" at the front of the handle- actually seat down into the sheath and protects them. I then took a wood burning tool and "sealed" the edges back flat and smooth. A very small amount of magic marker would make them less noticeable, but I'm satisfied with it.It also allows the retaining strap to actually seat right and hold the blade in much better. I would suggest this as a product... revision? Quality control fix? As it is really the only problem I have with an otherwise satisfactory purchase!I added a black paracord lash to the barb at the end of the handle, and drilled a small hole through the pointed end of the sheath just inside the stitching. There I added a knotted paracord tie back for around my thigh. Holds the sheath very immobile when actually worn.I had added pictures of the knife and sheath after modification, but editing my review they disappeared?

Underwhelmed and disappointed
I spent a good deal of time reading reviews on this item, and was impressed with how well it had been received by others. I wanted something of better quality than the $15 knives I've purchased, and although I paid more for this I still ended up with $15 craftsmanship. I'll break it down according to the description of the item:"...offers a 5 7/8 inch razor-sharp, 7CR17 stainless steel blade with a sharp, clip-point tip."I did like the weight and polish of this blade, but it is no means sharp - edge or tip. Sure, it can be sharpened - but why use the words if you're not delivering?"Polished black pakkawood handle scales wrap the full-tang blade for a stylish, smooth grip."The full tang is very nice, but the pins that hold the handle in place are not flush with the wood and stick out into the grip - hardly what I would call smooth. There's a chip on the front corner of the handle which could not have been caused by shipping and handling but was an oversight in choosing an initially damaged piece of wood during assembly."Includes a customer leather sheath stamped with the Hibben Knives Custom Design Series logo."In other reviews, the sheath was the most common point of criticism with this product, and I can easily see why. It was obviously made in a different location that the knife and no effort went into ensuring the two work properly together. The large snap mounted on the front of the sheath scrapes along the blade inside because there is no protection to prevent it from coming in contact when the knife is inserted or removed. Once the knife is inserted, the strap falls short of reaching the snap by almost a whole inch - making the strap/snap completely useless. This product may have the Hibben name associated with it, but fails to deliver the quality advertised. After a short examination outside the box, this knife is on it's way back to Amazon and I'll be looking for something else.

1 fluke okay, but 2?
I ordered this knife based on the looks, the description and the reviews, all of which pointed to it being a great item. When I received it the first time, I was very disappointed. The handle looked worn, and the blade was only moderately sharp. The tip was no sharper than a ball-point pen; not much piercing ability. Also, the sheath could not be snapped. I shoved the knife in completely, manipulated and stretched the strap, but it did not come close to closing when the knife was in it. I returned the item, thinking I had just gotten a bad apple, and I ordered it again. When I received the second knife, I honestly would have thought they sent me the same one I returned, were it not for the different serial number. But this one had the exact same problems; dull blade and point, worn-looking handle, and the sheath did not close (at first) when the knife was in it. Finally, after much pulling and stretching--and I'm no weakling--I got the strap to snap closed. Unfortunately it was at the cost of keeping the knife inside. it pulled right out beside the closed strap. I not only returned the second knife, but I called Amazon and let them know the problem I had twice. I have two other Hibben blades, and they are nice knives. Nothing you would necessarily want your life to depend on, but good looking and fairly well-made. Maybe it was just a double fluke that I got two bad Legacy Fighters in a row, but I won't be taking the chance and ordering this again. The reason I give two stars instead of one is because yes, it does look good, but that's it.

Great knife! Unforgivably flawed sheath...
This is a great knife, other than a cavity due to a knot in the wood on the handle I have no complaints about the knife itself. It is a great design and has a well polished end product. I have to nock one star for the fact that this is a knife and sheath "custom sheath" as the listing says combination though. The sheath is not the best design overall, but that would be ok if not for a major glaring flaw, the strap down snap buckle comes nowhere close to being able to snap shut. You will have to do some modification on your own to make the sheath work at all... this is not a single fluke sheath either, many other reviews posted the same flaw. This is a lack of attention to detail in the design of the sheath itself, and frankly unforgivable for such a nice knife that your not just paying $10 or $20 for.
