I honestly didn't know that I would be writing this review. I though that I was done with CD/DVD forever. I've streamed or used digital videos for the past 10 years, and haven't really looked back. I've had a MacBook Pro since 2014 that didn't contain a DVD drive, and did not have a single time where I needed that drive. Until now.About a month ago, I get a package in the mail. Apparently, a friend of mine filmed my wedding 6 years ago. They had gotten busy and had forgotten to surprise me with the footage, and in my mailbox was a DVD of my wedding. Only problem was, none of my computers had a DVD player, and I didn't own one.This little external drive literally saved the day. It was super easy to hook up, literally powered by the USB port that it uses to transfer the data. The data read from the ancient DVD perfectly, and helped me create an incredible surprise for my wife!I read some reviews that this wasn't compatible with Mac, which was not my issue at all. It worked straight out of the box, plug and play.Pros:Works greatQuality MaterialDoesn't need many cordsPacks very clean for storage (won't use it often)Works on Mac.Cons:I wish the USB was just a little bit longer, not a huge issue though

I bought this DVD external drive on 9/14/2018, and used it once to install a Microsoft Office Suite to my pc. It worked at that time. On 3/30/2019, I tried to use it the second time to reinstall the MS Office Suite to my pc. But the external DVD drive did NOT work. That was my second use of the DVD drive, and it was dead. I don't know its warranty or does it have any warranty.
