There is not a higher mist. Add more drops of oil.

I haven't had any issues thus far but the included item specifications should answer all of the product specifics and warranty info. Worse case scenario return for a refund if the return by date is still open. Sorry.

Q: Is there a setting they changes color automatically? So it goes through all colors slowly without you having to click the button...

Yes, it can; a short press of the light button (LIGHT) will automatically switch the light, and a short press again will fix the light
