Coolmade Quadcopter with Camera FPV Drone (2017 New Frame) Mini Drone FY603 WiFi Video Quadcopter 2.4G 4CH 6Axis Flying RC Quad Copter for Altitude Hold and Hand Launching/ Black(2 Battery)

When I get ready to fly, the propellers don't always begin to rotate no matter how many times I press the start button. Then for no apparent reason, I'll press the start button and they'll rotate. Don't know why pressing the button starts the propellers sometimes and other times it won't.At the lowest power, 30%, it flies very fast I don't have time to react to slow it down or change direction before it crashes into something. I broke one of the prop guards on the first flight. A couple of times 1 or 2 propellers have popped off after a crash. Fortunately, I found them. They weren't damaged so I put them back on. Seems like no matter how carefully and slightly I push the joy stick, it's as if I had suddenly pushed it as far as it will go because the drone just zooms madly around out of control.FPV doesn't work so I haven't been able to get it to take photos or video even though I checked to make sure the app is turned on and I'm connected to wifi. When I have my phone attached with the app turned on, I cannot see what the camera sees, all I see is the static photo background that comes with the app. It appears I should be able to control the drone using either the app or the controller but so far, only the controller controls the drone.The manual is atrocious. The English is so poor, many of the sentences are completely nonsensical. Here's an example from page 5 and I've included punctuation as is. I defy anyone to make sense of the following: "Speed profile selection: Speed is to forward, back and left and right side of the flight is divided into two speeds, the remote control to open the power supply default after the slow file, press the accelerator remote control issued "flute, flute" twice faster, then click to issue "Flute" soon returned to slow. (Recommended for beginners with slow file operation)"Supposedly, it has altitude hold but I don't see any mention of it in the instructions.If I figure out how to get the propellers to turn on consistently, and if it's possible to get the drone to fly in a controlled manner without zooming crazily at top speed, and if I can get FPV to work, and if I find it's possible to control the drone from the app as well as the controller, I'll update my review. Until then, I don't think this is a very good drone for beginners.

I really like that the FY603 self stabilizes, it makes hovering a breeze. BUT, when you do eventually hit something (and you will), its design will inevitably cause you to lose propellers and/or break the motor. I enjoyed this thing for 3 days before a propeller motor busted.The wifi recording feature is great. I was surprised that the resolution was as good as it was. Streamed straight to my phone with the app.Advertised as able to fly the drone through the phone app but I was not able to get that working.None of this is the fault of the seller. I would give them 5 stars as I got my product right away. I am only reviewing the product itself.

Most reviews to this point are obviously not real. Check all of late February's 2017 "reviews" - all clearly written by Chinese speaking people.Mine arrived well packaged, looked great, BUT DIDNT FLY. It would not take off. Tried everything to no avail. Ive found that its super hard to find a decent quad in this price point that actually lasts for more than a week. I dont expect DJI quality, but you cant make a toy that doesnt almost immediately break, or works period, for $50? I prefer to keep my hard earned dollars out of the toilet. Refund please.

Smooth live video for wifi, good flight time and the altitude hold works better than anything I've used this size. The wifi video has come a long way from a year ago. Much less lag, much better distance and much better picture quality. I though it was the phone maybe so I got out my X5SW and CX32-W to check. They were still just as junky as before. Just wish Coolmade would get me the rest of my ordersotlet me know something lol. Great products from these guys though.

Advertised as a beginner drone. I am not sure if it was working right because the instructions are so lacking that it was hard to determine. Blinking lights acted about 3 different ways on both the drone and the controller. Seems like if you had a product with that many light options you would include info of what that all meant. Tried YouTube but the company had nothing on this unit and the other reviewers were pros and gave no explanation of the details. So I will have to send it back and try another. Before I do I will check to see if they have

Excellent product and flies great. The only negative is that it can't really handle windy conditions and the battery on lasts for about 5 minutes but needs almost 50 minutes to charge. Indoor conditions give excellent flying. Camera recording is good too.

The thing won't hover. It attacks my ankles or takes off in whatever direction it wants. This has been since day 1. Hopefully it's not too late to exchange or get my $ back. There's not a Scratch on it. I stopped trying to fly it after it flew directly into my wife, 10 ft. Away.

Great little beginners quadcopter love it just wish the batteries would last longer
