Rock Solid!
I picked these up to mount a pair of Dual Electronics LU53PW 3 Way Indoor Outdoor Studio Speakers in White with Swivel Brackets over my sofa as surround speakers for our home stereo. The screws supplied by Dual were put in using those cheap green plastic anchors (not supplied by Dual, they only package the speaker wall bracket and screws), and not one of them expanded properly behind the drywall. Head bumps by my kids stripped both speaker brackets out of the wall in just over a month.Installation of these new anchors was fairly simple. A quick light hammering (into a hole approximately ³/₈ of an inch) down to the threads, then a Philips screwdriver to completely sink them. There was a bit of cast off paint and plaster, but only one out of four shows paint loss outside of the anchor's head diameter. The included screws easily fit the speaker brackets, and while setting the screws in firmly I could clearly hear the internal leaves of the anchor pop open and lock to the drywall inside the wall.I weigh 280lbs, and can now lean with my hand placing weight on the top of the speaker without any motion in the anchors. In truth the steel bracket itself began to flex under my weight, meaning that the anchors are no longer the weak point in the mounting. I will be using these drywall anchors in the future for all of my paintings as the heavy wooden frames over canvas tend to strip nails out of the wall.

No down sides, very well designed, works great!
These things are just awesome. I've got them holding up all sorts of heavy things at my place in 1/2" drywall and there are zero issues. It doesn't lose a star for this because the overall performance is pretty high, but it should be noted that these aren't exactly self tapping. Yeah, they're meant to be and advertised to be but since the end is designed to split apart as the screw is inserted it makes the plastic too weak to twist through virgin drywall.Never fear though, the solution is to simply push/rotate a Philips screwdriver into the drywall first to make a hole about 1/4" in diameter. Once that hole is there this baby will screw right in and be strong as ever. Bring on the coat hooks, books shelves and pictures you hoped were too large for your spouse to consider hanging on that wall. These anchors will hold that stuff (up to 50lbs) and never (probably) let go.PS: check the threads to make sure they're all nice and sharp and uniform as they should be. I came across one with just a small bit of deformed thread (minor manufacturing defect - they happen) and it wouldn't screw into the drywall at ALL. Replaced it with another one and all was well.

These are me proof!
I bought these to hang a vacuum on the wall for charging. Now, in the past I have bought and used various wall anchors, those ugly blue ones and the horrid ones that come with various curtain assemblies, and I have found myself to be utterly useless at using them. Like wow bad. So bad that I look at the mess I have made of my wall and feel terrible for damage I have inflicted upon it bad. These wall anchors? These anchors are Me proof, meaning they are idiot proof. I was successful in hanging the bracket for my vacuum on the first try. Sure it may not be level, sure I may cringe when I notice it being ever so off for the 5 millionth time today, but I got it up on the first try! And that is a victory for me. So if you too excel at hanging things off center because you are you, but fail at installing typical wall anchors correctly, then these are the thing for you. Next time I will definitely measure twice, install once!

works fine
As long as the leading edge of the spiral "bites" the drywall and doesn't get damaged, these work just fine. If it gets damaged, throw it away and start again. Otherwise, you'll have a large hole in the drywall.

Quick to install
These caused the paint to bubble up a little as I was installing, not a huge deal since I'm putting things over the holes, but it will be a lot to fix if it gets removed. I never had that problem with the metal kind. On the plus side though, some areas of the wall required a shorter anchor and I was able to break the point off of these and they were the correct length.

Excellent value
Plastic anchors are great but their provided screws are a little on the cheap side.Be careful or you'll strip the heads.Considering what these things cost at your local big box retailer or home improvement store this is still an excellent deal. They hold securely and none broke while installing.I knocked off one star for the cheaper screws but I would still purchase these again in a heartbeat. I bought two bags and when their gone I'll be ordering more just to always have some on hand.

Needs better quality control, used to be decent anchors
Bad quality control on the plastic molding of the inside of the anchor, over half of them the screw would not bite and thread and the screw would easily slip out (They were missing the plastic teeth inside the anchor on half of them) I had been buying these for a while because the screw head is a smaller size that fit into the mounting slots of power bars well for wall mounting. They are not the best anchors and are on the brittle side and crack if too much force is applied when screwing into the wall, but they do the job if you are careful and use them for light duty items. Unfortunately the last two bags I got were defective duds, I'll have to look elsewhere.

Much better than the flimsy ones that come with the things ...
They hold well and are very well made. Much better than the flimsy ones that come with the things I try to hang. It's helpful to drill a pilot hole first, I usually use a 3/16 drill to get things started. I also like to use a spade bit to countersink the head of the anchor because if you dont, the paint catches and peels up leaving some ugly cracking around the head of the anchor.
