Uncharted Waters Paperback

I can't believe that I'm the first one to leave a review for this great read. Take your phone off the hook and turn your cell off! Close your blinds; because your not going to appreciate any interruptions while reading about Daniel & Aaron's love story! From the get go once Daniel finds out that his best friend Aaron is gay as well, he tries so hard to keep things on the down low. He does not want Aaron to be criticized or harassed because he's gay! However as things progress between them, it's getting harder and harder to be careful! I really enjoy Mr. Cole's books, I have found everyone of them to have well developed characters and really thought out story lines. You always get a HEA & no Cliffhangers! The book Uncharted Waters was an engaging read. Jerry Cole built a wonderful story around the troubles world class gay athletes have often had coming to terms with their sexuality when in the eye of the public. I was reminded of Patricia Nell Warren's book The Front Runner, written two years before the 1976 Montreal Olympics that played a major role in its story. One of the stars in Uncharted Waters is preparing for this year's Rio Olympics. I was glad that today's political climate is such that the tragic ending of The Front Runner was not repeated.

This was an enjoyable story, not the same old formula that you get so often in Gay fiction. Hot sex scenes, with enough plot to enjoy the read and the character development. My highest praise is always when I hate for the story to end, and this was certainly one that I hated to see end. Thanks for a great reed.

... And probably what this story needed. The differences that connects these characters shines through just as strongly as that which isn't so different. They were cute, funny and witty and you can't help but laugh, cry, and yell at them! Esp dorky Daniel! I wished for more and and bereft without hearing what happens next.

Nice and different type of coming out story, with two extremely likable and hot guys. If I had any reservations, I'd have to say that the former straight guy worried about falling into his past way of life too often - it became tiresome.

WOW, this was wonderful, another beautiful love story. There's lots of drama, but funny, two friends falling in love with one another, hiding from the world and lots more. I really like this book . It was funny it was like normal characters enough romance major choke up every now and then . The two main characters were great together and also good families. I love Jerry Cole' s books.

This story is filled with uncertainty about who you are, what you truly want and if you can finally trust yourself enough to make the right decisions for yourself. It's also about realizing the admiration and trust you have for someone else is the guiding path to finding true love.Another great book by one of my favorite authors.
