works great
I only gave this four stars due to the fact that you have to hold on the button to make it not pick up small objects like rings and keys, would be much nicer if it was a button you could just flip and leave there. My son does security for concerts so I picked this up for him. He is impressed with it. In the video I show how the lighted bar goes up higher on the large object and smaller on the smaller one. I start with sound on, then on vibrate and then i just push and release the button to make it no pick up small objects and as you will see it does not work then I hold in on it and you will see the difference. With things like airport security I would assume this would not even be needed, but for my sons application as concert security he does not want it going off on the small objects. One real nice feature is that you can put in rechargeable battery and plug in while installed without having to pull it out and it is nice that the bar shows how big an object is. It will pick up even small metal thru heavy coat and clothing. This is great for any security application.

The wand itself is very lightweight
The wand itself is very lightweight, easy to use and can be kept inside the trunk of the car too. It runs off a 9-volt battery which is provided but it would be nice if it was rechargeable. It also has two different types of alert modes one being a high sounding beep or it can just vibrate too. I am really loving the metal detecting wand. This is a great little metal detector. It works perfectly as a security scanner. It takes ONE 9V battery which is included with the purchase. There's 2 modes of the alert... vibration and audio. Plus, when it detects metal, there's a bunch of LED lights which light up along the sides of the scanner... red lights mean a metal is detected, Yellow lights mean the voltage is low, and green lights mean power on. The sensitivity can also be changed.

Gets the job done
I really like this detector. i bought it to use it more as a pinpointer and it does the job just fine. I know that there are better things out there, but for the price this works just fine for my metal detecting hobby. I found everything that my metal detector picked up on. This is a great deal.

Unfortunately, the detector never worked. It was shipped properly so I can not blame the problem on the postal handling.

The worst detector. It stays on. Either it vibrates or beeps constantly when you turn it on.
