Dupli-Color EAFM04140 Silver Exact-Match Automotive Touch-Up Paint

I've used and liked other colors of this product before. The applicator tool is versatile with fine tip, brush, clear, etc. But this particular variant, intended to match Ford paint code UX (Ingot Silver), is not even close.

I debated about buying this for quite some time. But you know what…I’m glad I did! Color match is petfect! Ease of use is perfect! And ease of use is perfect! You might be able to buy cheaper brands but this one works….PERFECT!

After applying the paint, I was a little concerned about the color match, but once I put on the clear coat, (that comes with the kit) the match was perfect.

This is perfect for deep scratches. They key to use is patience!! Use one single layer at a time and allow it to dry before adding the next single layer. You will obtain your most professional results this way with the least amount of sanding needed. You can use a hair dryer for faster drying time. Use pen for the first deepest layer only. Then use the brush. Color is a perfect match, but know that over time your paint does fade, so the new paint appeared a half shade darker. My car was 3 years old and being turned in for lease expiration. The inspector didn't even look twice at all the areas that were touched up using this item!
