Probably not, unless you wrap it with 10 layers. To stop noise transmission you need something more dense, check out the Noico 80 mil sound deadening product. Then over that I would wrap with foam pipe insulation.

We didn’t use this for a car. We put on the under side of our stainless sink to cut down noise on our garbage disposal. It helped very little.
